Machida went 9-8 after Jones and never got the belt again but kudos for longevity. Evans lost to Nogueria after Jones and went 2-6. After Vitor and Chael all of his title defenses were decisions except 1, not to mention a no contest for doping. Before I throw my penny into hat I'm with Khabib. Jon used PEDs but it was the norm when he started his career so can't hold that against him. And people saying Jon fought washed fighters need to rematch the fights them opponents were at the top of the food change when they fought. With khabib it will forever remain a mystery on how good he actually was because he never was tested other than the choke in porier fight and the first round in Connor when he was struggling a little for a takedown (which still confuses me till this day). However even when we look back at this with our kids the question will remain what khabib could have achieved if he stuck around. Remember he's a Greco-Roman wrestler that transitioned to MMA. He can do it all. Khabib came close to being ok standing up but never took that next step. Again, I'm a huge Khabib fan because of his pure dominance. No one has ever been as dominant, not even Jones. But to say he's a better mixed martial artist than Jones? Na, sorry.
