Dongles are fine tbh, if only there was a phone case where there is like a garter pocket where you can put the dongle so you dont actually lose it. Its all about internal phone space and the headphone jack is pretty big.

All the fancy bluetooth codecs it supports arent supported by the iPhone. iPhone is AAC only

I think it’s to run wired then you get Bluetooth to your LDAC headphones

@@Yossarian_Lives73 Nope, that could be a thing, but like all BT products I've seen so far, it's a slave BT DAC, so that it receives the BT out from the phone/PC/..., as an input, & converts it through the 3.5mm jack, being it's only output. Otherwise it would be quite inefficient of a product, to buy a whole DAC-Amp, just to add a bit better connectivity (range & LDAC, eventually). All the rest of the hardware would be 100% useless in this usecase, where only the BT chip would be used.

I need help: I connected the Khadas Tea to my iPhone with USB-C cable. Then I’m trying to connect Tea to my headphone that supports LDAC bluetooth codec. However, I’m not being able to figure out how to connect Tea to the headphone via Bluetooth. Maybe I misunderstood the product? I thought it could be used to allow iPhone transmit LDAC. Can someone help clarify? Thanks
@PrimeAudioReviews27 күн бұрын
iPhone only supports AAC audio codec. The Tea is a Bluetooth receiver only - it's not a transmitter, so you can only use headphones that plug in to it. If you want Bluetooth headphones with LDAC, you'll need an Android phone or a DAP (Digital Audio Player) and the headphones also need to support the LDAC codec.

I'm still trying to figure out if the following setup will work: I connect my iPhone to Khadas Tea with usb/ lightning cable and then from dac I stream music to my Sony WH-1000XM3 bt headphones via bluetooth using high quality codecs like LDAC or Aptx HD which these headphones support. Any thoughts on that? Or maybe I'm totally wrong and bluetooth connection is possible only between the dac and music source, in this case iPhone?
@PrimeAudioReviews2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's only possible between the DAC and music source. Not only is adding the TEA between your phone and headphones impossible, even if you could it wouldn't improve the sound at all because the headphones do their own digital to analogue conversion.

@@PrimeAudioReviewsthen what’s the point of the LDAC and AptX?

@raymondwebby2441 if you have an Android phone and stream to the Khardas you can use LDAC or aptX.
