Girl! You got to be the prettiest person I ever met, with the coolest vibe and the most beautiful hair on planet earth! Your DIY locks so so motivated me! See, I am one of those dumb people who fell for the sisterlocks hype. Paid through the nose for my lock - $1000 for medium length hair to a sisterlocks trainee. I did not research enough before doing it I guess, I only learned later that one can do braid locks or twist locks to start. Anyways, thank you for your videos, I thought I was never going to learn to self retight until I came across your hair. Yeah, my 1st complete retight accomplished over 3 days with little to no stress - thank you!

I hope you can do a video on the topic of locked hair lies they tell.....lol. especially sisterlocks lies! don't wash your hair for six weeks' braid and band', don't condition your hair, the list goes on and on of which all of it is lies, lies, lies! May apply to a select few. Maybe mixed race or those with naturally straight hair. If one spent any significant amount of time detangling loose natural, what could possibly happen to interlocked hair😁? Absolutely nothing! I tried to not wash the 1st 3 weeks. I had serous eczema for months from that nonsense!

@TheQeen79093 жыл бұрын
@@Nollyfan I am a loose natural girl, but from my experience (I could be wrong) the eczema was from keeping the sebum build-up on your scalp. Your scalp needs to breathe. You don’t need to wash your hair with shampoo to get rid of it. And actually when you first stop washing your hair with shampoo, and stripping your scalp of it’s natural oils, your scalp naturally starts excessively spitting out all this wonderful sebum. I used that extra sebum to coat the rest of my hair. It slows down after a while. After using what I need for my hair, I take a little cotton cloth and wipe away the sebum and dead skin off my scalp so it can breathe. This prices has to be done with wet scalp and hair. When wet, the sebum a gooey paste, easy to remove and coat hair. Disclaimer: I am a 7 year, loose natural girl with low density, 4a/4b hair that ONLY uses water on my hair. No shampoo. No conditioner. No gels. No oils. No products what so ever. I’m loc-curious. I’m looking for a new experience.

Tia J i dont think it is from the oils. I tried going without product for a week after a wash. The only thing it accomplished was making my hair super dry. @NapsAreTheNewBlack3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I regret waiting. I see people who started with shorter hair than I did, who currently have longer locs bc their locs matured faster. the longer your hair is at the start, the longer it'll take to loc, and the more shrinkage overall you will experience. I say go for it, and the length will come before you know it.
