@MIT612 Horse meat is only halal if a) the horse has never been used for riding b) the animal has to be raised and slaughtered in a humane way; you have to offer the animal food and water before; any animal cannot see or smell another animal being slaughtered; and with the person who is doing the slaughter must say the Name of God before slicing the jugular vein of the throat Whale I am not sure whether it is halal, but my guess is that most schools of Islamic law would say it is not halal - why - because a) it is not a fish or crustacean, it is a mammal b) it does not have scales.

Japan has begun to implement the concept of "Halal Traveling" or travel that is friendly to Muslim travelers. Many restaurants, hotels, and tourist facilities in Japan have started to provide services and products that comply with halal food regulations and other needs for Muslim travelers. This is done to attract more Muslim tourists and make their experience in Japan more comfortable and welcoming.
@emmaleeaman111010 ай бұрын
I confirm this from traveling to Japan (Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Hiroshima, Tokyo) in October 2022. There is even an App for halal travel in Japan - you can search based on city for halal restaurants, places to pray, etc. Makes sense for Japan to make tourism more friendly to Muslims, as Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand are all a quick flight to Japan.
@emmaleeaman111010 ай бұрын
Another point as far as Japan being Muslim-friendly : The streets in Kyoto and Kobe are so clean that you can pray even in a small side street…I really mean it… it is part of the culture still in Kyoto that people wash with water the portion of the sidewalk & street in front of their house or business every single day. I needed to pray Asr, I took out a small thin prayer rug, put on a scarf, and prayed in a small side street in Gion, Kyoto, and no one had a problem with it, Alhamdulillah. Japanese people are generally very tolerant of a variety of religions, and respect for people to practice their own religion.
@emmaleeaman111010 ай бұрын
Almost forgot to mention another point that makes Japan easy for Muslims to travel… The *fantastic* toilets! Almost all toilets in Japan have super fancy bidets, so it’s easy to always have tahara to then make wudu and pray Plus Japanese are known for being the most fastidiously clean culture in the world, so generally the bathrooms are very clean, Alhamdulillah Once you have experienced a Japanese brand fancy toilet, you will want to import one for back home!
@adiba97349 ай бұрын
@@emmaleeaman1110My advice is please don't pray on the sidewalk anywhere in Japan. because it can interfere with other people's activities. I myself am also a Muslim. If I want to pray, I usually go to a clothing shop that has a large fitting room and then I pray there. And also Japanese people usually don't like seeing the toilet floor wet, especially in public toilets, so I suggest just doing Tayammum. I know it looks inconvinient but we are in foreign homeland we cant force other culture to accept us and we cant do what we usualy do in our own country.

@@KhalidAlAmeriKhalid Sir as this the month of fasting, hope you will help in sorting out these confusions. Bro, As per the scripture, God sends many prophets and out of a sudden, sends a prophet to the Arabs. Isn't that, to be frank something bizarre? If Jews had rejected the scriptures, then why God did not send another prophet to them? The biggest doubts arise from the following: 1.To blame Christians, their devotion to Mary could be used but why an all knowing God doesn't know that Mary is not worshipped by Christians as God and asks Jesus about that? 2.God making someone else resemble Jesus to be crucified. Wouldn't that increase chances of people worshipping Jesus as God? 3.Why would God made someone else be crucified instead of Jesus or made it to seem like Jesus was crucified? 4.Messiah comes again to save the People of the Book i.e. Jews but they are way less than the number of followers who accept the scripture send to Arabs? Why Jesus being a normal prophet, comes again and born miraculously while none of the prophets were born that way? 5.Why is Isaac's pbuh birth is prophesied and not Ismael? Who are Ismaelites? Moses pbuh saves Hebrew people from Ismaelites. But Joseph pbuh, son of Jacob pbuh was sold to the Ismaelites and Joseph lived under Egyptian Pharaoh. So who are the Ismaelites Egyptians or Arabs from Peninsula. Everyone shout at these questions, but Abraham pbuh had objected his family deities this bringing worship of One True God.
@roshanjc77529 ай бұрын
@@KhalidAlAmeri Learned the Gospels to find errors but instead got confused. the Makkah prophets father's name means Slave of God, but the most important is the name of God in 'Slave of God' is same a God's name in the scripture send to the prophet from Makkah. Before Archangel Gabriel visiting the prophet, how come his father name means slave of God? Does that mean there existed a deity with the same name as that of the God in the scripture send to the prophet from Makkah as the prophets father was a polytheist? What does all this mean?
@roshanjc77529 ай бұрын
@@KhalidAlAmeriThis is what is understood after reading the Gospels. 1.Through Adams sin came death and it was never God's plan. 2. For reversing this, God ultimately wanted someone sinless born miraculously. But who on earth other than God is capable of being sinless and could be born miraculously? 3. God himself knows that no human can do this. So he decides to come to earth taking a human form with all human weaknesses. 4. Jesus as God is born miraculously and is tested to resemble Adam but never failed, remained sinless, was crucified died and then resurrected on the third day due to his sinlessness. This he reverses death with resurrection. (Isaiah Chapter 7:14, 53:5) 5. Why God has three persons? God does this so as to be in Heaven as Father, to be with humankind as Son Jesus and the one who proceeds from both Father and Son is Holy Spirit. 6. God is righteousness and not cowardice that He unlike humans won't make excuses and achieve goal improperly but rather will take challenges. 7. If humankind has got the character to do sins and suffer the imperfect state for something that came through Adam's sin, then one man Jesus can also save humankind. Doesn't all this make sense? If you truly believe God of Abraham, pls reply.
@roshanjc77529 ай бұрын
@@KhalidAlAmeri Sorry for reading the Gospels and getting confused. This is theory of Christian doctrine: Father=Mind of God Son Jesus=Thought of God Holy Spirit=Action or Decision of God This is why Jesus prays to God as Mind is source of thought and there is no mind without thought. The following verse is a reference to the Holy Trinity Then God said, ‘Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.’ This is from Genesis Chapter 1 Verses 26. Even Abraham pbuh had doubts that eventually made worship of God of Abraham possible. If you truly believe God of Abraham, pls reply sir.

selam aleykum brother, a small correction: vinegar is always halal as far as ive been told. no matter if it has the words "rice wine" or "red wine" or whatever it may be as long as its vinegar. this is bc vinegar is naturally a byproduct of the fermentation process, however it doesnt contain any alcohol. hence why pickled foods, or other vinegars are very commonly used even across the muslim world. so even if sushi contains a form of vinegar, its ok. i think what you meant to say is that mirin is the ingredient that may make it haram -- thats bc mirin uses alcohol and is a common ingredient in sushi making process. someone correct me if im wrong, may Allah swt increase us in knowledge insahllah you and me and everyone.
@barbaros76799 ай бұрын
You have been told wrong. I mean what are you talking about? Vinegar cant have alcohol in it because its a byproduct of fermentation? So is alcohol. A fermented apple that just sits around under certain corcumstances can end up having alcohol in it. Soy sauce the same way. Dont think what you heard is right because its more conveniant for you just so that you can eat whatever you want. Rice wine vinegar and soysauce fermented with alcohol are NOT permissible are NOT halal! For al the people that liked this mans comment please do your own research!
@Infernaladmiral9 ай бұрын
@@barbaros7679 you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Even bread has alcohol in it,does that make it haram? It's almost impossible to avoid small quantity of alcohol in daily food. The only thing that is prohibited are all kinds of intoxicants. As long as the alcohol is in such a small amount that it doesn't intoxicate then its not haram. And you must not have knowledge of chemistry if you are saying that vinegar has alcohol. Alcohol and vinergar are fundamentally different in their molecular structure and compound not to mention vinegar is not an intoxicant despite being derived from alcohols.

It was interesting to show these (traditionals) halal alternatives and also the fact that Japan is becoming more and more open and muslim-friendly ! 🛑Careful though 🛑: soy sauce may also contain alcohol. It depends on the brand, some may use no alcohol in it, some does. It shouldn't be considered rude to ask ☺👨🍳 Hope we can see more travels in Asia or African countries inshaa Allah !!
