Nah the weight miss wasn't on purpose. Khamzat's just a massive guy. But the UFC definitely knew he was going to miss weight so they had him start beef with Holland, knowing Khamzat could make the 180 catchweight but not 171. The card also wasn't selling well so infusing a little drama didn't hurt
@gigachadrick77232 жыл бұрын
@@benlewis5312 I believe Khamzat said that the reason he missed weight was because he thought the PPV date was later than he anticipated and had already bulked up a few of pounds of muscle, and because muscle is harder to cut than fat, and water. One thing for sure is that we can see Khamzat is able to correct mistakes after each fight which makes him MUCH more dangerous, He learned that it’s not smart for him to bang with strikers but to use his great wrestling which can definitely get him a title in the future if he fights smart just like we saw with khabib.

Na we still haven't seen if he improved yet. If he fought Kevin before Burns, he would've done the exact same thing. The only reason why he didn't wrestle Burns is because he couldn't. Love him or hate him, we might be witnessing the raise of one of the greatest fighters if not the greatest, only time will tell but if he continues to dominate fighters like this I'll not be surprised... he's killer instincts are out of this world, the way he jumped on Holland and finished the fight was something remarkable!

Chill out bro. Y’all fr think this guy is the greatest. I really don’t see it. This guy went from fighting Gilbert burns, ranked #2 at WW. To an unranked fighter at 180(which isn’t a weight class). He also was gonna fight an unranked Diaz but he missed weight by an egregious amount. Holland literally got the worst fight on 24 hr notice. So for you to have high praise for him I just can’t understand it.

Khamzat is a generational talent. He shouldn't be turning into a heel. He has the personality of a star. He needs to relax a bit, calm down & become a champ.

He's an arsehole who uses his favouritism in the UFC to get away with being 8lbs overweight. It's actually a joke that he was allowed to fight at all

Imo this killer instinct is good for him, perhaps in moderation but then again he treats his opponents well after a fight or even if het gets on the right foot with someone like till

4:22 who gives a fuck if he missed weight. of course he can make it. hes done it multiple times before. it wasnt even his call to stop cutting this time. also the drs who stopped the cut could be wrong. he didnt look weak when he weighed in. and he offered nate his entire purse to fight. also if the drs were correct and he was compromised? that should make his dominant victory vs holland more impressive but everyone expects too much of khamzat. you expected him to win without getting touched. then when he does it, no1 cares. theyd rather bitch about a weight cut he had no control of casual mma fans and mma media are the worst. too fickle

Loved that interview, and respect to Khamsat for calling out the smoking,drug bullshit, that so many people seem to love these days, as I think it’s a poor example to the younger generations watching. Gateway drugs have fucked my family forever, and each to their own, but care should be taken not to glorify things that have also damaged so many families.
