I have spastic hemiplegia cerebral palsy and I've been diagnosed with this condition right from the start when I was born. This is because I was born prematurely and I had a very serious brain hemorrhage (intraventricular brain hemorrhage to be exact) before birth and had a hydrocephalus. Despite my brain hemorrhage being one of the most serious kinds, I have developed a milder form of cerebral palsy as only my both side is affected. To be precise, I was born prematurely My age is 12

I had to self dx my child and beg for an MRI before he was finally dx... on paper. Then I had an appt. to talk about it. They did not give too much information. My kid was born at 36 weeks and did not show any symptoms at that time. I learned more here than I have with all the neurologist I have talked to who have been my sons doctors. Smh.

To be precise, I was born prematurely at 33 weeks gestation meaning that I was born 7 weeks before my due date.

Im getting worry of my son he is 1 year old and he can't sit without support he is my only child I want help I want to know what is the correct diagnosis of this cause please help me

My son too . . He is 1year and cannot sit straight and self balance. No crawling started. May I know how is your baby now?

Tell your concerns to your doctor, and ask for a MRI test

Talk to your pediatrician about testing. If that doesn't work you might go to the ER and tell them your baby fell and isn't acting right.

How early can cp manifest? Can it manifest as soon as a baby is born?
