Red litmus is purple in colour in neutral solution then why salt has no effect on the colour of litmus. Please send me its ans

My friend.....seems like u got something wrong. Red litmus does not change colour in neutral solution, neither does blue. the change only occurs for acidic and basic solutions. common salt i.e. Sodium Chloride ( NaCl ) is a neutral salt. Thus u won't see any change in colour on adding blue or red litmus solution to it. hope that helps.😊
