You make it look so weightless. I don't know I you know that, but I am at central Europe and I just bought KS Lemon Starburst from a local web-shop. I was so amazed, such a success, and really amazing how the word works. Some year ago I watched a video about that pepper you 'made', and now It's here an ocean away. Very Inspiring.

I started shortly after you and been following you since probably around 2016. I liked how you were experimenting like I was. You were good about showing your results later which is whole point of what ppl want to see. Congrats to you on how much your channel has exploded. Happy for you and your success. Well earned and deserved keep on growing buddy!

I'm trying to get started but there's so much to take in, I really wish someone did an online class that's geared towards pepper growing and crossing. I know I can buy all kinds of horticulture and scientific books explaining plants and reproduction and figure out some of the details of breeding through a lot of research, but I don't have time to dedicate hundreds of hours to studying a field that I'm not educated in. What would be awesome is a class that starts with the basics and moves into the intermediate realm, with a focus on practical breeding

Also I am looking for some sort of app or database that can help keep everything arranged in a clear manner. Would be very hard to keep track of crosses and generations just writing things down and I'd lose track

Not sure why you’d think they’d hate his guts. If anything, they’d learn a few tips to cross better and faster. Khang Starr is actually well loved and respected in the pepper community.

@@mikes978 fully aware of what kind of figure KS is in the Chile community, also why would a competitor that already knows this information want it out to the public for free. Especially if they have spent years developing their grows and strains. This is clearly a video for the community of newer growers and there is always going to be some people with an opposing opinion

Chinense can cross with baccatum fine and annuum can cross with baccatum fine to, so my theory would be that if you want to cross chinense chilli peppers with annuum chilli peppers you should use a baccatum chilli pepper to increase your sucses rate. What do you guys think of that, according to the cross breed chart it should work.

13:37 This is really important because it DOES matter. Same happens in humans where if the same man were to mate, he’d pass down different traits if he was all stressed, unhealthy and malnourished vs if he was super happy, in optimal health and really strong because of different epigenetic expressions based on the conditions. So yeah, you definitely wanna pick the best peppers from the best plants!

Wonderfully informative video Khang! Your custom hybrid method is you and your brand and that does work. I notice you have your sample plants in a festive Holiday Season mode via their red and green insulated covers too. With your indoor setups that are not in grow tents, do you expose any of your experimental plants to natural sunlight from windows during the day? Your personalized shirt fits you well, and requires a shout out to Aaron! Happy Growing! -Bob...

There are a ton of variations to consider. Think of all the different genes and variations of a human offspring, combining the genes from a mother and father. Eye color, hair color, complexion, physique, height, etc. Now think of all the different genetic makeup a pepper could have. Color, shape, size, taste, foliage color, foliage shape, wall thickness, seed production, etc

A question concerning crossing a hot pepper with a larger sweet pepper. Does which plant is the male, and which is the female have a bearing on the offspring? I have searched high and low and found nothing. The closest I've seen is decent advice, but not an answer - create several of each and choose your preferred F1 from what you get. I'll do that, but I'd still like to know....

Thank you! Great video. I have learned a lot from your videos, both about kratky growing and crossing peppers. But I have a question about unwanted cross-pollination in this kind of setup. Is that something that happens a lot in your experience? Do you have to take precautions like growing without a fan etc? Or is this not something that I have to worry about?

Lol... I hope you understand that the medium you breed your peppers in will affect the outcome of your progeny. After breeding cannabis for 20+ years we've noticed this to be the case unfortunately
