Quick update for people watching in 2021: Yes, the UAE has opened its borders to Israeli citizens, however many nationalities still need to get a visa before visiting the UAE, meaning its visa policy isn't that open, which still disqualifies it from the list since we have a better answer (although that being said... yeah, maybe not if you're LGBT+)

4:11 Quito did host the UN Habitat III conference and expo a couple years ago. Also showing a picture of old town doesn't do the modern city justice. For example the northern districts of the city have much more development and highrises (google some pictures if you're interested) and the city metro is to be opened in the near future. Still, it ain't an international hub, but it does have potential!

I think something really big was missed regarding Qatar. It is still in the midst of a diplomatic crisis where most middle eastern countries (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Yemen, and initially Jordan) and a notable number of African countries (Egypt, Libya, Djibouti, Niger, Gabon, Mauritania, and Somaliland, along with Senegal and Chad initially), along with the Maldives and Comoros have all barred Qatari aircraft and ships from flying over, landing, and docking in their countries. These include every nation neighboring Qatar except for Iran, which means that there are almost no transport links with almost any country in the Middle East and Saharan Africa, and flights from Qatar to Europe and the rest of Africa have to take very long, inefficient routings to avoid flying over the airspace of all those countries. Saudi Arabia also closed the only land border connecting Qatar with the outside world. So because of this issue I don’t believe it is the easiest country until this crisis is resolved, which doesn’t seem to be happening any time soon considering in began almost 3 years ago.

But... the worlds mean population Center is not the Center of the amount of countries. There’s a bajillion countries in the Caribbean with tiny populations but China only needs one representative for its massive population

Are you sure Andorra is now in the Schengen area? I remember going there last year with family (I'm from southern France) and we got stopped at the border on our way back because not all of us had our IDs.
@cammarc5 жыл бұрын
Even within the Schengen area you need to have your ID. You always have to have some form of identification with you. The difference with Schengen is that they don't check your documents at the border, but if they stop you for any reason and ask for an ID, you have to have it. You are right that Andorra is not part of the Schengen area though.
@FairyCRat5 жыл бұрын
@@cammarc Oh, they were in fact checking everyone.
@cammarc5 жыл бұрын
@@FairyCRat Makes sense, although some other micro-States which aren't part of Schengen don't do border checks (like Monaco and San Marino if I'm not mistaken). But yeah, Andorra isn't in the Schengen area neither officially nor de facto.

Svalbard. Not a country, but is visa free for citizens of all countries, and doesn't conform with Norway's visa requirements (which is in Schengen)

Actually, Quito is indeed an international destination, but if you would want yo host an international meeting, just don't go to the center of the city (the one shown in the video), and the modern part of Quito would be just perfect for that meeting

Get a map, grab a compass, put the pointy end in turkey, the pencil bit on finland's border, draw a big circle and you get The Worldwide Zone, pretty much any country out of these is a safe bet, and you might not even need a to fly!
