Everything I want my Jeep to be! I just finished my ton swap and you’re my inspiration. I have a ways to go but at least it’s driving. I followed you on ig like a year ago and this Just popped up on my recommended video randomly. Love the video.

Nice walk around. I remember meeting you guys at the SLSD Jeep invasion shortly after the axle swap. I had a 05 TJ I often thought about doing that too. Well I now long own that jeep now I’m putting my Jku on 40s. Still love them TJ’s. Love your jeep man!

It’s a cool build. Not super over the top. Definitely good quality brands and parts put on it. But not super over the top $100k build. Thanks for the walk around. Always seen your Jeep in the videos and wondered what it all had.

I was a welder fabricator for 17 years. I don't know how anyone is getting away with aluminum front end components. I can't even see 6061 T6 working without being made so huge it would rub everything. Anyways. Impressive build. 👍🏼

How are the artec weld-on hi-steer brackets for the steering? I have installed some on my project because of cost reasons and I am curious for some real world feedback before my rig hits the trail/road. Also I like the wrap on your rig. Thanks.
@arileopardi Жыл бұрын
They work as intended. Only issue I have is with 16in coilovers up front the steering is past the flex of the heims at full droop. But other then that it works awesome!

Is that a factory proportioning valve on the brake system? I just did the WJ brake conversion on mine and plan on a 8.8 with disk for the rear. I know the factory master isn't going to work, but I've seen where some people claim you don't need the prop valve and others say you do.
@arileopardi2 жыл бұрын
It is the factory one. It’s not really a die hard need, but definitely recommend it. It’s been like this for 3-4 years but it does get a little weird sometimes if you go hard on the brakes. The split is more 30/70 instead of the other way around on how you would want a proper braking setup to be. That is one of the changes I’m actually going to fix this week!

Did clearance the bottom of the frame for the lower links in the rear?
@arileopardi2 жыл бұрын
Yes we did, the control arms tuck into the frame about 2 inches. It was all done with I think 2 or 2.25 dom tubing and a lot of cutting and fitting!

Did you relocate or remove your emissions canister?
@arileopardi2 жыл бұрын
I had the option and was planning to relate it to the front of the rear wheel well but never did. All the lines are capped off and we silenced the “alarms” for it since it’s mainly an off-road rig.

what about bolt pattern if it's a ford f-350 on front and a chevy 14 bolt., also gear ratio in front and back ?
@arileopardi9 ай бұрын
The bolt pattern for the whole jeep is 8x6.5. The rear 14 bolt has 2in spacers so the rear width matches the front width and the front wheel hubs got re-drilled from the 8x170 to 8x6.5. Along with the brake rotors. The gears are 5.38

What master cylinder did you use and is the proportioning valve a factory disc brake valve or drum rear brakes
@arileopardi2 жыл бұрын
It's a 3rd gen ram 2500 master and the drum brake proportioning valve soon to be changed to a wilwood adjustable one.
@kristiandaniels47282 жыл бұрын
Finished the 2500 Master cylinder brake pedal is pretty hard did you have a issue with that with yours
@arileopardi2 жыл бұрын
@@kristiandaniels4728 yes, you have to fine tune the screw that’s in the back of the master cylinder and in some cases the proportioning valve will need some adjustments also. There are a handful of forums that detail the whole swap

How much did that cost you in parts it you don't mind me asking.

To be honest, after a while you lose track 😂 but definitely wasn’t cheap, well into the five figure range. Especially after the different versions of it, upgrades and maintenance too
