Khwarij kon hain....kia k stany sy paida hovy....I tell you if you don't know...they were Berbers of Africa who after being won over by the Muslims paid jizya like christians and Jews.With the passage of time these Berber people converted to Islam in northern and southern Africa which resulted in reduction of public ex_chequer. Local administrators and governors levied heavy taxes under ummayads caliphs which resulted in the rise of kharjis.
