This is the story of my Kheerganga Trek after lockdown where I have tried to show you the beauty of the Kheerganga via Kalga and returning from Kheerganga via Nakthan village. I enjoyed sitting near the roaring Parvati River and captured that moment for life in my memories. It was such a peaceful experience to sit and enjoy the noise of the river. Making the Kheerganga vlog after lockdown had been one of the best experiences for me as an Indian travel vlogger. I have never seen snowfall in Kasol. It does snow in the upper parts of the valley. Maybe it does in Kasol too in winters, but I am not sure of that!

Permission is required, but the locals will try to loot you even if you have permission from the DFO in Manali or Kasol.. An elderly woman tried to tell me that it is not allowed to pitch there, but I lied to her that I have a permit from the forest department and she left without arguing.

You can pitch it without asking anyone, if you ask they will ask for money.. When I was asked, I confronted the local saying that I have a permit from the DFO Manali to pitch my own tent (I lied), they believed and left me unbothered. As far as sanitation is concerned, you should rent a tent up there only, it won't cost you much. And you get food and sanitation as a part of the package!

Yes, no need to pre-book. There are plenty at the site. But, Winters are off-season.. so, I wouldn't recommend trekking now. It snows really bad.. you can go between March and May!
