This is the difference between a movie star and a manje hue artist ki. Being gujarati I have seen them in many dramas and plays. Sare hi ek se badhkar ek hai. And very well said by JD sir and Aatish Sir, when the script is beyond the level of previous one and when it gives justice to every characters then only it should be made. Unlike this bollywood people who just simply want to encash the the popularity of movie by making sequels. I hope this movie stand tall with one of the big movie sequel.

Khichdi and SvS are all fime favorites. My teenage son keeps on watching repeat episodes of SvS. He even called me last week that "Baba tu na ekdum Indravadhan ahes". (Father, you behave like Indravadhan) 😂😂😂😂. I told my son that tu hi mera sahil, tu hi mera roshesh ❤❤❤. Kacchaa kela 😂😂😂

Almost 2 decades later, Indian TV or Indian Streaming hasn't been able to produce shows equivalent to Khichdi or Sarabhai stature. In my opinion, Tarak Mehta does not even come close to shows like Khichdi, Sarabhai, Baa Bahu aur Baby. *Hats off* to you guys!!

And how? What's the similarity? Kuch bhi..Saarabhai use exaggeration as a base to create humour. Everybody loves Raymond has normal and Subtle characters. and yes Sumit Sambhal lega was direct adaptation.. But not Saarabhai for sure ..

Sumit sambhal lega is confirmed adaptation of everybody loves Raymond as said by the writer of the show. Kautuk said that on one of the Varun Thakur podcast. Producers of both are same company. Sarabhai was an original show just like khichdi. The characters come from writers who used to work in plays in Mumbai. Even the actors are are powerful theatre actors first. This is why the episodes seem non continuous as they are written as one act play
