They most definitely got a sound all their own which is very unique. And that along with wtf wrote the lyrics to these songs and put them to this type of music. Very talented and impressive. Wow !!

@zoranpavlovic95402 жыл бұрын
@@samueladams6207 No one called me poseur back in 80's. Perhaps you grew up in 90's. I grew up in Yugoslavia and not so many ppl were into Cirith Ungol, only nowadays there's bunch of their followers. I liked CU but wasn't hyper listening to them tbh, disliked bands like Poison and all generic glam metal bands but Shout at the Devil and first 3 of Crüe were one of my favorites - heavy metal, whatever you think so I am not poseur nor elitist.. At least American look on matter is quite different. I really don't know any great American metal band in 2000's but Symphony X or Iced Earth e.g. Bunch of squiking, grunt, boring d tuned shit is pucture of current social situation of US imho, boring and depressive, thus Scandinavian and European scene offer more diversity and not cruel industrial exploitation of depression and despair. Sorry, didn't mean to insult you or anyone else, just my opinion of 2000's (90's were even worse everywhere). ed: I gave a like to your reply, it's honest guess.

Pandemonium started in the LA club circuit by supporting Cirith Ungol in 1981... and in 1984 it was the other way around. That's interesting and also really weird, especially while comparing 'Heavy Metal Soldiers' to 'King Of The Dead'. Somebody at Metal Blade must have really hated Cirith Ungol :D

I just stumbled on to this video. A lot of people don’t know that in the late 70s and early 80s , Ventura county had a a lot of good heavy bands . I was in a couple of them and we did gigs on the same bill as these guys. I knew all of them . Went to hang out with Jerry a couple of times at his converted garage bedroom in his parents house( we were all very young then). Robbie was ( and I’m sure still is ) a friendly guy. Played basketball with Tim a few times . I’ve got to hand it to them. They never gave up. I got married and got out of the metal game in the mid 80s . When I heard what happened to Jerry it made me sad.
