Every square inch of arable land on earth has been conquered and reconquered countless times. I don’t care which people got there first or what religion they are. I support the side that doesn’t throw homosexuals from rooftops and considers women as equal citizens.

However, the Israelis have the right to a state just like everybody else, so to make constant war on them is another thing that's wrong with those who do not give women equal rights and who hurl gays off rooftops.

You most certainly can have compassion for both peoples-compassion is not mutually exclusive! I think many people are morally conflicted with this situation and hurt for both sides. I do want to add that this is deeper than taking a side… it’s also how people are raised-the values, the hardships, the beliefs… You are absolutely correct that Islam and Judaism share a lot of ritualistic norms. Much more than Christianity for sure! Thank you for this interview-I enjoy this series and wondered if you would choose a non Jewish Isreali to speak as well!!

You have one side raising children to love and protect life, seek peace and compromise. And other side raise children in hate, love and glory death, seek destruction. While each person is born in image of God, Hamas tranform them to monsters. It is people who abstruct from cituation claim world compation help to the most evil. Because evil knows how to play on sentimetality of weak minded. Millions of childeren died Germany, their death have to blamed on Hitler and his supporters.

From the start she is blaming Israeli goverment. How about accepting responsability on beduin society, that decided to seize state property and build someting on it? For years, they were told to leave and go to existing towns. Israel bases it land ownership on Ottomans and British law, which priorites state ownership of land over nomads. So, these settelments were illegal by Turks, by Brits and now by Israel.

These are the real settlers. I love what she is doing, bringing people together, and i see her pain. I also see the bias. She had chosen a side and just doesn't realize it. To her credit, if everyone was like her, they wouldn't be raping, kidnapping or killing each other. I feel bad for her

Yes, I had a hard time understanding what she actually wanted... If they want to be autonomous and a self-sufficient minority that Israel shouldn’t have control over, why does she expect the state of Israel to help them with infrastructure and other things? If they want to live independently, they should do so and build whatever they want on their own. "I want to live as a nomad, but I still want the state (I don't want to be part of) to give me the same privileges as everyone else." They need to make up their minds...
@abupinhus2 күн бұрын
@@Maya73805 Israel can not afford to designate land masses to nomadic life style. In the past, as way to find compomise with non-jewish citizens Israel tried not force any changes on their life style. IMHO, it is time to start discussions with beduins about how to bring them more to modern Israeli society. No force, but providing them with options with better education and as result better jobs and living conditions.

How do people leave?
@abupinhus2 күн бұрын
@flipflop6700 they pack, buy tickets and go. Over 1 mil jews moved to Israel from former ussr in 1990-2000. Almost everyone came with couple suitcases and no money. And the right wingers in Israel always pushed idea to pay arabs some compensation, if the leave without return. If this people want to live under islamic law of sunna, let them move to Syria. People of Gaza have poisoned soul after all indoctrination. So for the choice of there children, they should leave.

She is starting the story on page 76- 76 years in. The trick is to know the whole relevant story. So referring to no recognition of a town that is illegally located and therefore the government isn't laying down water and electricity. If I go set up a structure in a desolate part of the negev, where I squatted, and then my people as a collective launch a war against you and you win , do you lay electric and water where you aren't zoned?

Go-on giving us unique testimonies like this one. This fair woman is assuming what she thinks and what she is. We cannot make an opinion (should we take a side?) until we did not listen to people speaking. I cannot hear Palestinians: where are they? Why are they so silent? I would like to listen to real people, not people pretending they represent the Palestinians or Palestine. I've listen to many Israelis's testimonies including arabs and advices. IIt helps! But is not equitable. i'll not shout free Palestine at all! For Sure. Never!
