Yeah, that's a beautiful city. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Khiva. But you should have taken a guide because you didn't visit the most important buildings like Khons' Harem and the summer palace right just out of the city walls. As an Uzbek, I regret to say that our old mosques and madrassas have been neglected by our government. After all, these places are considered holy places for Muslims, so I think that it is necessary to strictly observe their purity and cleanliness. Mosques and Madrasahs should be restarted, just like in Turkey. There should not be any shops, restaurants or similar entertainment places, after all those places are sacred in Islam!
