While I definitely agree with you, I think it’s the idea that even if things Aren’t good, “as long as the pictures or videos look good” that’s all that matters to her. That the emphasis isn’t on wanting True to have a good Dad, it’s wanting things to just Appear to be good. So even if he wasn’t showing up as the father True needs, as long as he shows up for the photo op it’s all good.
