Khmer Krom Cultural Performances in Preah Trapang (Tra Vinh), Kampuchea Krom on the 2013 New Year celebration. We Khmer Krom need to do more to preserve our culture and identity in Kampuchea Krom and overseas. Teach our children to speak Khmer and learn about our Khmer Krom history in the Mekong Delta. Seeing this show bring back my childhood memories when I performed this same coconut dance in front of large crowd, both in Cambodia and in the USA. I feel like getting up and dance this very same dance using pots and pans from my kitchen. I love it! You all dancers are very good and fun to watch. Keep it up!

Believe me or not, I used to dance this same coconut dance song when I was a teenager in Cambodia and in the USA when we arrived in America when I was a teenager. This show reminds me a lot of my childhood growing up and it was fun to participate in the coconut traditional dance. I still remember the moves fairly well and this song brings back some of the moves that I may have forgotten since then. I love the show. It's a great show.

Khmer can speak Khmer outside from home just like foreigners did when they were outside their homes. Khmer language is the national language in Khmer Krom or Lower Cambodia ( South Vietnam).
