as a surfer from Australia it’s amazing to see what goes on behind the scenes of this historic ceremony, we only see the surfers but to hear what Noland did to rescue that little boy just shows how amazing the lifeguards are and Eddie was one of the first which makes the event so special for the whole lifeguard community. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful ceremony

Rocky Cannon (sp?) has no idea what he's talking about. "Reenacting"? That's not what that is. Those guys *are* the Royal Order of Kamehameha I (not to be confused with the "Royal Court",. an *actual* reenactment). The Royal Order of Kamehameha I is a chivalric fraternity founded by King Kamehameha V, Kamehameha's grandson. They have continued functioning in continuity since the mid-1800's. You can literally Google this information. They're not reenacting. Cannon also clearly has no idea what they're doing in the ceremony. He might have learned a little bit if he stopped talking and listened. Rocky Cannon, if you're reading this, remember the old Hawaiian saying: Paa ka waha, nana ka maka, hoolohe ka pepeiao.
