Well played. I have been saying for some time that the Elven Union Catcher is the best positional in the game. Thank you, Ben, for demonstrating why! Nerves of Steel on an AG2+ catcher is pure filth. throw in that they don't suffer the regular -1ST that many catchers do and they can be unstoppable.

The catcher's MV8 is also huge. As evidenced by this game, even with just block, their high speed opens up a lot of unexpected blitz opportunities. Before the Season Two rules update, one of my Catchers got Leap and Wrestle, turning them into a nice blend of cagebreaker and cherrypicker. Sadly, I doubt that'd work as well anymore given the new Leap rules....

@@WBenIB MV almost goes without saying. My tactic is to flood the opposition backfield with four (if possible) Catchers, put my Thrower in a pocket and deep pass the next turn to the best target. A long pass (with Cannoneer) is 3+,caught on a 2+. The Catchers get Dodge on first upgrade so almost always you are a 3++,2++ and 2++ away from scoring from as far as 5 squares deep in your own half. Four Elven Union Catchers with Dodge are impossible to cover.

@@WBenIB That's usually the prime responsibility of the blitzers for me, and a quick strike attack (one of only two situations (ideally), I will use the blocking dice. My defence also uses the threat of 'lose the ball, and concede a TD the same turn' as I almost always keep one or two Catchers in scoring range. Either the opposition ignores them, or are forced to split their team, which is always to the Elves advantage. Good screening, funneling the opponents drive, baiting blocks, and careful positioning are usually enough to allow the blitzers a half chance and you only need one chance per game if you can score from endzone to endzone.

I really do enjoy watching your games. After seeing your PTZ camera footage, I've been considering getting a 360 camera to film my own games and worry about getting the good angles when editing. Perhaps this is something that you might find interesting to look into. You'd never miss an off camera dice roll again

On turn 5 of the second half, on a roll of 4 shouldn't the ball have popped out into the open square next to the Khorne blocker? Assuming you were using the template on the mat.
