Healing on the Divine Intervention is amazing. 1d4 aoe healing without concentration. On Life Cleric it will heal more And with correct items, EACH TURN, it will heal more, give temporary hit points, and apply Bless and Blade Ward That's one of the most useful legendary items you can get

thats a bug, to get it you need to equip the mace while you head into the trial so your clone can have it aswel, as soon as you're in the middle of the battle you can use any disarm skill and make your clone drop the weapon easy copy of the strongest legendary weapon it also works with any legendary weapon you may have equipped, but so far in the game you can only get the blood of lathander if you're in act 2

I think you are underselling how ridiculously broken the sorcerer staff actually is. If you pick lightning on Kereska's favor it gives you chain lightning as a free spell - the only level 6 spell of all the elements of that skill. And unlike most other abilities, it does not have a short or long rest cooldown, you can use it every turn in every fight - for free. Combine that with twinned magic (chain lightning counts as single target) and quickened magic as well as haste and your regular level 6 chain lightning and you can fire up to 5 chain lightnings in a single turn if you have 15 sorcery points. This shit is so powerful it can end all but the very hardest of fights in a single turn.

@@daneburke6592 maybe it was a bug and they recently fixed it with the latest patch but when I found this thing last week I could fire chain lightning from that skill once every turn for free. In any case, even if they limited it to one use per short rest, it is still possible to fire 5 times in one turn as long as you also have the regular spell version of it. Use haste, then enter the battle, use twinned magic and the free chain lightning, then use the free cast ability, twinned magic again, and after that use quickened magic to fire a fifth time.

Are you using the freecast illithid power? Its bugged and lets you freecast a spell every other turn instead of every short rest. Unimaginably broken overpowered bug that applies to all spell casting. It also lets you ignore some cooldowns and even spells with charges.@@justalex4214

The most broken spellcaster weapon isn't even legendary IMO. The Staff of Cherished Necromancy gives all enemies disadvantage on saves against your necro spells and has an additional effect that means any time you kill a creature, you get to cast a necromancy spell of any level for free. This includes Circle of Death, Blight, and Dethrone which are some of the most powerful spells in the game (or you could just keep casting Create Undead and get a horde of mummies) Personally I'm going to use that and only use Markoheshkir and the other staff with Arcane Battery to use Create Undead then use the Staff of Cherished Necromancy to spam death spells as very few enemies, especially bosses, in BG3 are resistant to necrotic damage. Chain lightning is ok but the lvl 4/5/6 necro spells are way better IMHO. Circle of Death is the biggest radius high damage AoE in the game and Dethrone is the highest single target damage spell behind Disintegrate; 10d6 + 20 necrotic. All those spells also take half damage on a successful save Lightning is a pain in the ass too IMHO since water stays electrified for so fuckin long it's annoying AF to walk through and I don't want to have to use a spell slot to mop up afterwards with create/destroy water

I played with a buddy and he's a very...well let's say he isn't really the best when it comes to team tactics and likes to see big damage numbers, so in our playthrough he would always stand right in the middle of the battle which usually prevented me from using aoe spells. So chain lightning as a single target spell was absolutely perfect as it allowed me to one shot all the trash mobs around him and would allow him to focus on smiting down the bosses.

Regarding freeing hope you don't need to kill the enemies there. What I did was I gave Karlach the hammer, had Astarion cast invisibility on her, had her sneak up to 1 crystal, smash it, then misty step to the other with her boots, smash the other, then I had my Tav, a Bard use Dimension Door to teleport hope back to the ladder, Karlach then teleported and all got out. Then return to the Rejuvenation fountain in the bedroom to restore any health or spell lots before Raphael's encounter. For that I recommend abusing a Globe of Invulnerability, easy to buy one at the Sorcerer's studies, then using Hope's Divine Intervention to do 8D10 radiant to all the Cambions, I also had Shadowheart do the same and then my bard used hold monster on Raphael, Karlach pretty much 2 shot the pillars and then fight was easy. Stuff like the Haste Spore flask are insane, but you have to walk in and out or through it to get the effects the next turn. If you don't want to do cheese like that, get a Scroll of Fire/Ice shield and use the ice shield so you get resistance to fire damage and don't do Radiant unless you can tank the fire damage it throws back to you. stuff like the Divine Intervention will kill any cleric that does it first against all the Cambions. Edit: Also the gloves is 1D10 force damage, not bludgeoning, which is almost never resisted while bludgeoning often is by constructs.

Another legendary which is easy to miss is the Duellist's Prerogative. Legendary Rapier with insane bonus when you wield it one hand. In Act 3 there is a quest where a woman asks you to go to the blushing mermaid to save her daughter because the flaming fist doesnt help her. When you complete it and bring her daughter back to her, she gives you the rapier. I kind of wish that the dragon beneath the wyrmway was a "real" secret to discover but it's the final quest of Wyll's Blade of Frontiers line when you rescue his father from the Iron Throne.

A funny trick I used to get the levers to open in Lorrakoans tower is by placing Gale correctly and using cone of cold. It pushed the levers and I had the skill check, passed, and voila! Got the staff

Keep in mind that many chests containing good loot have a lot of resistances/immunities and require a certain threshold to pass with damage (e.g. anything 15 or less will be nullified completely). Breaking them is still an option but you'll either need a damage type they're not resistant to or use high damage spells/consumables. Possible for sure, but just having a rogue who by level 10 will roll 20+ on AVERAGE for lockpicking or a knock spell on your wizard is much, much easier.

Shapeshift druid do NOT benefit from those gloves and almost no gear in fact. If it is not specifically stated it won't work. This is not a bug in dnd the druid absorbs the armor and doesn't benefit from it's effects unless the shape would be able to wear it and in bg3 no shapes can.

There is one more legendary. Silver sword you can buy from Kith'rak Voss during a dialog with him (i did it before I went to free Orpheus). If you give to Lae'zel, she will say how happy she is that she can weild it and how it was her wet dream... It's actually is as strong as the Sword of Balduran. It gives extra psy-damage if gith uses it, immunity to charm, advantage on intellect, wisdom, charisma throws and Soulrip ability.

You can get that in Act 1 by using an invis potion followed by a disarming strike, or Command Drop. You'll want to quicksave before attempting because no matter if you succeed or fail he flies away and the Gith start fighting. That sword will literally carry the entire Act 1 and 2. Then when you meet back up with Voss in act 3, he has a Very Rare Longsword he sells that's absolutely nuts, for anyone who wants to collect ALL the weapons they can.

Assuming that healing aura is permanently active while that healing mace is equipped...that could be quite handy to use in place of a short rest or party wide healing spells...Just swap weapons to top everyone off and then switch back to your other weapon to continue your gameplay. Stack some gear that awards bonus healing to speed up the process and voila...free heals with no spell slot expenditures : )

The most useful situation is when you have a party that has gotten down to super low health and are at risk of going down. If somebody goes down, they get picked up automatically without spending an action or bonus action as long as this is active and they're in range. Where is the clue for the entrance to the Wyrm place? It feels like such a random puzzle to solve. I know there is a hole for a Druid to get down there as well through a pipe, but if you don't have one is there any way to figure it out?

Does the Devotee's Mace work with "Life Domain" if yes it actually isn't that bad, more selfsustain for a Tanky Cleric Build sounds pretty awesome. Well im gonna see that in around 30 Hours or so anyway, im in the middle of my second Playthrough.

Just to let everyone know the best and highest damage weapon in the game is the deva mace, its a one handed mave that deals 15-45 damage and its a common weapon you get from killing a deva

Too go.into more detail on how to get it, you have to go down the basement of the guy in baldurs gate who sells holy weapons, once you're in the the basement you will find a very rare amulet, once you pick up the amulet you will get a curse from the gods, once you use remove curse on this, a deva will spawn which you can kill and drops the mace

I dont know if you have talked about it but in under place in act 1 near forge their is lava and neck of a monk near fire elemental which is also a quest but neck is quite good since it gives KI. also can use Smith Tools Tongs - to deconstruct magic weapon to get Magical Crafting Metal then upgrade gear :)

Just an FYI so people don't make my mistake. Before going into the shadowfell entrance to save or kill nightsong, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOME QUESTS FINISHED BEFORE GOING IN!!! Some of my quests failed after going in the shadowfell, like saving the tieflings in Moonsrise Towers and going into the Mountain Pass, that I only realized hours later.

Spears are simple weapons, and monks have proficiency meaning it should count as a monk weapon and let you use dex with it
