I've been informed a form of this has actually now been added with the new update, sadly I've not yet had the opportunity to try it out myself

Sadly the jump in difficulty is very steep. On my netrunner playthrough I'm annihilating everything but if MaxTac shows up I gotta outplay them so hard, it's like a bossfight. I kinda like it but I wish there was something between cannonfodder and elite ninjas.

She has mantis blades that were taken off the market for fucking you up too much and you learn she killed 14 people before being "rehabilitated" but considering how she talks when you interact with her, she sure seems to love slicing people up for fun still.... :p

It sounds like they altered the sirens of the cop cars in this update. They no longer sound like a droning, buzzing sound and more like a sci-fi alarm tone. They are a lot harder to hear though even when all the gunfire stops.

I'll be honest, they really should do a mission where the biochip starts to go haywire and start seeing everyone as hostile targets trying to actively kill you. Basically play out the typical cyberpsycho scenario where, eventually, a couple of 'chooms' come to help defuse the situation by incapacitating you and bringing you to Nix and Vic at Vic's place. There, they'd manage to re-stabilize the chip and bring back a semblance of normalcy to V. Make it a late-game mission of course, as it wouldn't make sense early-game.

Yeah I am pissed off at the story railroading and lack of any meaningful change to the ending no matter what you choose to do as is. It was really annoying yet understandable after The Heist, OK fro the rest of the story and then got maddening when you go to the last mission, because you can't change anything and the whole thing was pointless. Adding another mission like what you describe is just insult on top of insults. In a game where going to the roof, pulling your gun and putting a bullet through your brain being the best ending you can get, the last thing you need is making the players go full murderhobo and make them feel guilty about it later. It would be the "Kill the dog"..... "You are a monster for killing the dog!" situation all over again. Hopefully the new Phantom Liberty ending will actually have some outcome that is not you being dead and managing to unleash some new horror on the world in the process of getting killed. ;) Just my 2 cents, but if my character will go berserk, I demand that be my choice not a forced decision that will be held over my head, no matter how much I try to prevent it just because I hate railroading. Sorry for the rant. Your idea is cool I am just still angry at the ending, that made me quit the game until 2.0, which is damn awesome so far. :)

I like how maxtac is legitimately a threat, even to high level characters. Their team comp of snipers, melee, netrunners and/or heavies complement each other well along with a massive dps. My first time encountering them was my level 60 gunslinger and I just barely died to them.

​@@PJOHNSON-xg4ewI'd argue they should be, they're an ingame faction built specifically to efficiently end characters exactly like yours, it should remain like "we know and expect you to die to maxtac, we just want to see how long you last." But the boss fights should be harder, 100%. That's just a CDPR thing though, only difficult bosses in the witcher 3 were Dettlaff and Caranthir.

Being a cop in the Cyberpunk universe can only end in three ways A cyberpsycho rips you in half after tanking a bullet to their eyeballs, you sign for MaxTac and turn into that cyberpsycho, or you just get a better job and skip town

Finally tested them. My hardcore Tank Solo build was melting literally everything, MaxTac was like running into a solid brick wall. Fight went on so damn long I ran out of ammo for every single gun, and then finally the game crashed lol

I fought mac tax for about an hour straight after the 2.0 update until I decided to run and hide. Not that I couldn't keep fighting but I realized they WOULDNT STOP SENDING MORE 😂 It was fun as hell and I'm SO DAMN HAPPY they didn't give up like Anthem. Now with the expansion drop. I wanna try to fight them again with all the new cyberwear and levels~

I've beat 3 maxtac teams consecutively, but not straight up. I had to use apogee sandy and do multiple hit and run passes. Even then each pass i barely escaped with my life. Maxtac 2.0 is no joke. They really are min-max player killers. It takes a good strategy/plan and an endgame well built V to even entertain the idea of this being a fight and not V just getting casually curb stomped.

Once got 5 stars in the area where you start the hunt quest with rivers, was massacreing cops for half an hour before i realized max tac had yet to show, so i get out from under the city, they could finally land, beat max tac for the first time just barely and then almost immediately died to the second wave, maxtac really makes you feel like a cyber psycho.

It still has bugs. I had 2 Wanted Stars and i was hiding from cops in containers. Cop chases me, i kill him and after few seconds 2 Wanted stars vanished.

I remember at the start of the game, I felt so weak using guns the enemies were just not dying and i had to struggle completing the main quests. Then i focused on my cyberware and west for throwing knives and errata build. I fought max tax 5 times before getting killed by the mantis blade one (had 0 stamina).

Maxtac are coded to be Hard even if you're on easy or normal. Not sure if they go up to very hard if you're playing on that difficulty.

Funnily enough the original concept that abandoned had MaxTac guys being the main characters in traditional JRPG format before shifting to the FPS Action RPG we have now.

Early on, after MaxTac triangulated your coordinates, they originally couldn't reach you and land because you had the NCART track above you which blocks MaxTac spawning in. MaxTac is also foiled from landing by the player standing on the roof of any house or building. Its easiest to see this in the Rancho Coronado district where they have single story homes for the player to perch themselves on. Only after the 4 minutes mark when OP drives away from his original location does MaxTac finally spawn in at around 4:44

Im having sooooo much fun with this new police system. Though I never played much pre 2.0 but i know how bad it was. I wish NCPD would also try to pull you out your vehicle if you got stuck or something. Kinda similar to getting busted in GTA, but without stopping the assault.
