How to play the guitar part for A Love International Guitar Tutorial, by Khruangbin.

I prepared a backing track, with a drum loop and the bass part. On top of that I'm playing the lead guitar for it, and have included the tab. As you can see, I'm using a Fender Telecaster for it.
Hope this is beneficial to those watching!

Once you've got the guitar part , why not have a go playing over the backing track here? kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqLFemx7mbt-abs

Greatly appreciate this tutorial. KZbin is sorely lacking anything on Khruangbin, I hope it will change soon. As a beginner, I have to ask like, any theory behind this riff (licks?) you noticed while working on it? Like what scale is this even? What key? Can it be transposed to other keys? etc haha I would like to understand Mark's approach but I dont think I understand fully what he is doing.

That's a good point. I recognise many influences from all over the world in his playing, from the Middle-East to Mexico!

think its mostly pentatonic minor, just very lyrical phrasing with lots of hammer on and pull offs, use your fingers more, playing shell chords and licks together etc. Also get a wah and a nice reverb, a little crunch, you're good to go. watch his rig rundown here kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqOahJami89kh7s&ab_channel=PremierGuitar

Thank you - I actually used a drum loop and then I played the bass part myself on top of the loop

This is awesome dude. How did you do the backing track?
@DanielMcKeanMusic

Thanks a lot! I used a drum loop and I recorded the bass part myself, using my Fender Precision bass, so I worked that out myself. Now, that's a thought - maybe I'll make a video showing how I did the backing track.

Great tutorial and very helpful! Is the video or link to the backing track available by chance?

It isn't available but I will make it available - I think I will add it here, unless you think there is a better platform for backing tracks?

@@DanielMcKeanMusic adding the backing track to your channel should work just fine, if that works for you. Totally would appreciate that for optimal practice🤘🏼

How are you getting this tone?
@SN.LurkinG
@SN.LurkinG 4 ай бұрын
I think it's mostly just the bridge pickup, with very light overdrive, and some spring reverb to taste, and pick harder to get the sharper tones for certain parts

In Mark's Rig Rundown from a few years ago: bridge pick-up, distortion pedal all the way down, light compression, and then spring reverb at 5.
