I love your solo! I've been trying to pick it apart for days. You make some really nice changes between chords. I wish I knew a little more about what you're doing. Fun stuff!

is it just a minor pentatonic you are playing around with?
@joekcollins6 жыл бұрын
The predominant majority of it all is the D major scale and the B minor pentatonic, but there's little bits and pieces here and there that are somewhat modal
@grajmahal6 жыл бұрын
wow- very well done. The only thing that's missing is adding some reverb and a little delay. Other than that, I think you got his tone nailed pretty good.

good sound, but I miss articulation, sounds a bit flat to me

Where the hell do i find the tabs for this somg
@joekcollins6 жыл бұрын
In all honesty I think it's a riff song, he plays it differently live all of the time and the album version doesn't even compare to some of the stuff Mark Speer does with his songs on stage. I would say just learn the riff and see where else on the neck you can play it and then noodle around from there

Have you written the tabs? Trying to play this song so badly.
@joekcollins7 жыл бұрын
I learned it by ear and kind of improvised throughout this recording, but I can try and make some tabs for the original if you want
@FettersProductions7 жыл бұрын
Yes, please! That would be great for a less experienced guitarist such as myself.
I recorded this a long time ago, I believe the effects used were a Joyo American drive and the spring reverb from a fender frontman 212
@Judsonian6 жыл бұрын
This might be a dumb question, but is this song in D?

Hi Joe, which scale are you in ? And what is the tone of this track ? Thanks for your reply.
@joekcollins6 жыл бұрын
I believe I stay in a D Major pentatonic throughout most of it. How do you mean by tone? If I'm remembering correctly, the tone I used was a MIM tele front pickup through a Fender Frontman 212r recorded with an SM57 and a SM58 on both speakers blended in Reaper, and I didn't use much effects except for the amp's spring reverb and a lot of compression in Reaper
@Dems-fk8sh6 жыл бұрын
Joe Collins thank you for your reply ! I was asking about the scales mainly. So just D pentatonic ?
@joekcollins6 жыл бұрын
I think I stray from D pentatonic here and there, but for the most part that's it. The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is at 1:30 I arpeggiate a G minor triad to give a minor plagal cadence kinda vibe, but that's about all I can think of right now lol I recorded this about a year ago and most of it was me just jammin' along without really planning any of the soloing out. I made this more to kind of learn how to mic my amp and see what kind of sounds I could get out of it

Joe Collins this is great, thanks for the music !

articulation is gone as well as the half of the song which you have replaced with your own "look how good i can play"
