These guys have grown on me and fast. I loved the first note of the first song I heard, but they’re becoming one of my favorites, certainly newer bands. Like a black gospel choir, that guitar sings beautiful, beautiful melodies.

This what I loved about 60s and 70s guitar music and solos, the players always had their own tones and styles, instrumentals can really say more than words ever could

It was the second song for me. On the Tiny Desk set. I guess the first was good enough to make me stay for the second. Laura and Donald are mother earth and father time. She's also hot as the f(_)ckin sun.

I didn’t find these guys until only just recently when the KZbin algorithm blessed me one day a little over a year ago. I had been battling some real demons and all the booze in the world wasn’t even close to enough not by a long shot. I’d go on these long night walks by myself and just shut everything out with my headphones and wonder around with a bottle till sunrise. One night I was shuffling back to my apartment as the sun started creeping up and a video started playing I literally had to stop myself and sit down to see what I was listening to. It was Khruangbin live on KEXP and I swear I must’ve sat there and watched that set at least a few dozen times cuz it was damn near noon when I got my ass back up walking again. I know it’s been a bit of a rambling story and I doubt many will have read this far but something happened to me that day when this music found me. I’m grateful every day for whatever it was pulled me up from the mud dragged me out of the trenches and now I’ve been sober 14 months and counting. God bless ❤

A good story to share. Thanks. Yes, I read the whole paragraph. Music has a way of touching parts of our soul that all other stimuli just cannot reach. They just can't. Again, so glad to hear of the uptick in your life and how this song kickstarted it. Good for you!
