Product protection and 100% bottle-to-bottle recyclability thanks to KHS InnoPET FreshSafe TriBlock

The InnoPET FreshSafe TriBlock from KHS combines the PET bottle stretch blow molding, coating and filling production processes extremely efficiently while saving on space. The coating process used here satisfies all the required conditions to enable your transparent PET containers to be fully returned to the bottle-to-bottle recycling process. Accordingly, these coated PET bottles are also recommended and have been confirmed by the EPBP and APR as a fully recyclable barrier technology for sensitive products in PET bottles.
This block system is suitable for processing sensitive beverages such as juice and for carbonated soft drinks (CSDs). The coating process is initiated following stretch blow molding. Here, a wafer-thin layer of glass is applied to the inside of the PET bottles. This provides the product with excellent protection against the loss of vitamins or nutrients. The coating also prevents CO2 from escaping from carbonated beverages. The shelf life of sensitive food and beverages is considerably lengthened and food waste thus actively prevented. The containers are then fed to the filling system, closed and transferred to the system’s container conveyor.
