Nice! Looks to be 2nd Battalion 1st Gorkha Rifles (2/1GR), judging by diamond-shaped red flash on the big drum. My late father was CO of this battalion 1988-91, fond memories!

Strange at first to Western Eyes, but Grows on you. Great Job. Is the small Shield for Show or is it actually used?
@Jppl038 жыл бұрын
shield is just for the show purpose/i hope uyo can see the roman numeral which shows the battalion number which they belong to .

KarasCyborg @ by the way we are only the ones who defeated imperial British at their peak period... Hand full of gorkha defeated British royal army mercilessly... it was like 1000:3 ratio and we won...
@Cheezsoup5 жыл бұрын
@ KarasCyborg Despite what Random.Indian says those small shields are called Bucklers . There are many videos on using them on KZbin. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXjFo4Gmqt17gpI kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGizemCQmamVrcU Maybe Random.Indian means that those particular ones are more ceremonial versions . Think of them as protecting the sword hand and deflectors rather than full blocking shields. Use rather than size/shape define a Buckler. They can be thought of as varying GREATLY in size from 9" diam to 15" diam or so . But really there is no strict definition of a Buckler
