Nice info. Planning to upgrade the pivot balls with the steel version. Are those 5.8 pivot balls?
@RevolutionX4 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are 5.8 pivot balls.

The screw pins that connect the shafts to the diff are insanely difficult for me. I feel like the pressure I'd have to use will break the pinon. I've also checked that I'm putting the pin screw in the bigger opening. Did you experience this?
@RevolutionX3 жыл бұрын
Not at all. Did you try test fitting the screw in the diff pinion to see if it move freely through (without the driveshaft)? Also with the driveshaft off, try fitting the screw to the end of the driveshaft without having to go through the pinion. If both are ok, then most likely you just need to align the holes a little better (either push or pull the driveshaft on the pinion shaft until the holes line up better).

@@RevolutionX the hole on the pinion is more of an oval so the screw doesnt go in with any ease

I'd say that is a manufacturing defect. I'd take some pictures and hit up Element and get a replacement. If you feel brave enough, you can get a tap/drill bit and try to round out the hole yourself.

I was being stupid I was trying to put the screw in on the non threaded side. I'm such an idiot 🙄 lol all sorted now 👌

@@TheAmericanTD93 LOL! I had thought you said you tried putting it through on the correct side already! Oh well, all good! I'm glad you got it sorted out!

Hello sorry abit of a daft Q but what is that stuff you use that's in the large grey tub and what's it for?
@RevolutionX4 жыл бұрын
It's Permatex Anti-Seize lubricant. I use it on the CVD joints of driveshafts and axles. It doesn't attract debris like grease does. There should be a link to it in the video description.

Can i know what is the wheelbase for this kit? 313? and one more thing, is there any extra link for the 327 wheelbase? because i wanna put the knight runner bodyshell to it
@RevolutionX2 жыл бұрын
The wheelbase is 313mm. The original builder's kit included extra links to make the wheelbase shorter, but not longer. I'm not sure if the new v2 builder's kit includes extra links or not. To get to the Knightrunner wheelbase, you will need to buy the extended rear links. Element 12.8" Wheelbase Conversion - bit.ly/3yvTJRC
