I have been enjoying Roku Gin as one of my absolute favorites since your video on that one (it's spectacular!), so if I see this one I'll definitely shell out the money to try it. I love how you pronounce the Japanese terms haha I would love to watch a Ki-No-Bi, Ki-No-Tea, Ki-No-Bi SEI comparison!! Japanese culture has a huge emphasis on treasuring the seasons. The gin's name translates to the "beauty of time(limited)" 季節 = season, the first kanji「季」is used to express time that has a limit. Kind of hard to explain in English but I tried. 「美」is beauty. Hope it's a fun little knit-bit to know about this gin.

Ki-No-Sei is the ki-no-bi but proofed at 54 yet still maintaining incredible balance

You should check out Sakurao Limited (pink bottle). 19 botanicals.. absolutely floored me with the complexity. I liked it with a splash of Japanese Shochu, 5 ml peach and lemon and a splash of soda at the end. It’s the YUZU and the Juniper and the Japanese peppercorn you are really catching in most gin. But the Ki-No-Bi definitely pushes the tea.. You should consider an episode on all Japanese Gin as some are rice based and some sweet potato and then further with the sake region. Japan does everything to perfection and spirits and whiskey is no different. My recent trip there i sampled from all regions but the Sakurao really blew me away

Hi, I would like more asian gin reviews, I would suggest Etsu Gin (all three variations, double yuzu, double orange, and pacfic ocean), Komasa Sakurajima komikan GIn and Hojicha version from Kagoshima, Sakurao Gin, Tenjaku Gin, Okinawa Gin, and the other two Ki No Bi gins Ki no tea and sei. And I know the chinese are coming in on the gin market too, I am highly interested in Porcelain Shanghai dry gin.

Hi again!! I started drinking gin a few years ago, mostly at concerts, so as you might guess, it was probably (most certainly) the cheapest gin and the cheapest tonic water, but at least it created that interest in the drink, I'm mostly a rum guy, but Gin has become my 2nd go to spirit, and I started buying my own gin about a year ago, but because I didn't know any better, I've been drinking mostly sapphire, it's usually on sale and let me tell you, here in Canada, the spirits aren't cheap, but some times I treated myself and I had the N0. 10, definitely better, and even before I found your channel (was actually yesterday, but I've seen probably 15 to 20 of your vids in less than 24 hrs) I've been trying to up my game and that's why I bought the Citadelle Reserve, I'm a sucker for good looking bottles, but I did my research and it has good reviews, so from now on at least I will know if I'm spending more than my average price range on a truly good Gin, so I have the Roku and The Empress 1908 in my list right now, thx for the pretty good and expressive reviews, I can't get enough of them.

Really like KNB, maybe it's the base rice spirit 'sake' that personally smooths the alcohol hit for me, same with Roku, which is half the price here. Great review.

Another great review and another one for the "to do list". Not a criticism but it's probably time to bin the price threshold because sometimes you definitely get what you pay for. It might be better to just say how much it costs and if it's worth it......

I've only tried their Ki No Tea, and its quite herbal. Not the spicy, heaty kind of herbal but the cooling herbal kind. The other japanese gin is Roku, but it's boring and unimpressive.
