Creative Director: Jim Noble. A bit of a demo ad, with the typical personality of Kia. The Sportage's competition at the time was Jeep and Suzuki, with the Toyota RAV4 dominating the compact SUV category. Targeting young couples, Kia had to demostrate that the Sportage was fun to drive and could hold tons (its quality attributes) all at a low price point.
