I ve chosen the hibrid version and i enjoy it every day. Yesterday i drove 48.9 km, with a medium cobsumption of 2.1 liters/ 100 km. Amazing!

I’ve had the Canadian version of the PHEV for 18 months and just love it. We are almost always on the battery during our daily driving but have the gas engine there for a longer road trip when we need and thus never have any range anxiety. In the time we’ve had the car, we’ve only bought about 3 tanks of gas. It charges overnight on a household circuit and in EV mode is very peppy and a little rocket when both engines kick in. Nice size - not too big or small and quality and finish seems excellent. Highly recommended.

Would you mind sharing what is the fuel consumption on highway
@jalley523 жыл бұрын
@@saadbinramiz1 It depends a bit on how fast you go as fuel consumption rises with speed, but at about 100 km/hr (60 MPH), we’ve been getting around 4.4 litres/100 km.
@saadbinramiz13 жыл бұрын
@@jalley52 thanks for the info. Most highways are either 100km/h or 110km/h. So should be similar

In Europe you get the front parking sensors as well. For what I see in your video, it looks as KIA Australia has cut back on the equipment you get (practicable front sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel and charging ports on the rear air conditioning section). You'll notice this if you watch any review video from UK.

Thanks for the good review. Kia Australia should bring this one 2-3 years ago. Niro is the best value hybrid suv in Korea but full changed model coming soon and it looks bit pricy.

How did you arrive at PHEV consumption figures? Is it "full charge + full tank of gas" till empty tank?

That explains my double take one time in the Ryde area. In fact, I think I have seen camo’d Carnivals and Sorentos around Macquarie Park. Makes sense as I think HKG AU HQ is right around that area.

I wonder if they are using us to clear stock before the next gen E-GMP architecture sells overseas? Would have loved one two years ago.

you can buy the Niro hibrid right now... it is a good car. i bought one last year... i have 6 more years warranty... i indeand to drive it untill it will be 10 years old :)

in the standard hibrid model, if you take out the spare wheel, you have a lot of boot space !

Having driven the "conventional hybrid" Niro, the stuff about gear hesitancy and "back and forth in your seat" isn't true at all. The changes are pretty much seamless, and with normal road noise etc. you basically can't tell when the ICE has started either. My biggest complaint about the 2021 Niro is that it's so easy to drive that it's not an interesting car to drive.
@adrianciobotaru95956 ай бұрын
The new version of the hibrid is almost the same powertrain, with 20 kg less (reverse gear is only electric) and a redesigned face and sides... but, same engine and battery...
@watchalot9192 жыл бұрын
I have a pre-facelift 2022 HEV 3. The spec in the UK is very different. Your predictions were very wrong. The power train on the new model is the same, and the prices of the new models are considerably higher. Wouldn't touch an EV, to many issues with charging, and the depreciation is scary

Looking at the towing abilities, I'd opt for the PHEV Sport. Good torque and relatively low consumption.

It's awesome, even with depleted battery. My only wish would have been a slightly bigger boot but it's an acceptable price to pay.

dang. why would Kia australia brought the ending life cycle car? in Korea they are expecting a new Niro release early next year. I mean the price so high as well, what were they thinking?? australian gov should provide incentives for the hybrid or electric cars NOW

China has a lot more care manufactures (600 right now). Australia needs to have a few car manufacturers back on their soil. The hydrogen fuel delivery system is changing too, but that's a decade away from reaching the market.

My only complaint, is that there are no rear door pockets. Those speakers in the back are unnecessary. My kids sit in the back with their headphones, because they think my music is lame. :D Would rather have the practicality of pockets. After all, it is a family car!

I am just confused by it, they released it at the end of its life cycle when Kia has released the Seltos and the Sorento which blow this car out the water

Hi, I have a KIA CEED PHEV 2022. I'm very disappointed how the hybrid system works. If it low temperature outside (below 10 C) then the petrol engine always starts if the so if im driving under 10km it never runs purly on electricity. Or if the AC is runing the petrol engien starts. So the petrol enginen is always running when heating or cooling... My advise, dont buy a KIA
