If you can not get the trunk open, how to get the backrest down to get in to the trunk?

Think you can show how to pull them down if no access to the trunk

Good job! How many feet (storage) does that give you from the back of the trunk to the drivers seat

Well , what do you do when you can't get in your trunk. None of my locks are working or the key fob And it's not the key fob battery. And the key won't go in the trunk to open it just stopped opening. We were using the key to open the trunk and now it just won't turn anymore

You ever find a fix?

@@jaydadon1669i found this on a forum. I’m not looking forward to trying it fml…. “My mechanic friend was able to do it, but it was difficult even for him. First, he removed the side panels. Then he unscrewed the bolt holding the smaller seatback to the larger (in the crevice between the seat and the center cup holder). Then he used a crowbar and considerable amount of strength to pop the the smaller seatback up (there’s a white plastic cylinder thing that needs to go over where the bolt had been). Once he did that, he was able to pivot the seat so that we could see and reach into the trunk, but not big enough to crawl in) and use a pole to jimmy the trunk latch open. With the trunk open, we released the seatbacks, replaced the trunk latch, and reassembled the seats. The reassembly was a breeze. Hope this helps somebody!”
