I like the VW badge that lights up. Maybe more manufactures will start lighting up their badges.

As a VW salesman I’d say the SEL or SE W/ Tech are the best bang for your buck. I think the SEL Premium R-Line is nice looking but I’d be ok even without getting the fully loaded trim levels.

No mention of the suspension, ride quality, steering effort, and NVH levels? Comfort is an important consideration for a lot of buyers. I'm disappointed, Sam. Otherwise your reviews are always top-notch.

Suspension, ride quality, comfort, steering effort etc are all top notch. Really excellent. What annoys me about my ‘24 SEL is the tech that simply doesn’t work as advertised. Auto lift gate only worked once. Remote start with FOB only worked once. HUD is blurry. Auto Cruise Control overrides the speed down to the speed limit, not what you set it to. Otherwise, awesome car.

I have VW Atlas comfortline It has these disadvantages so far 1- water gets inside the engine room once you wash my Atlas 2- you have to put the driving mode on Eco every time you start the car , it is annoying 3- the car is rattling a lot from the doors and seats 4- the sound of the heating fan is loud 5- it doesn’t have the windshield heater inside the frond window glass , Toyota rav4 has it 6- line assist is not very efficient, try it and you will know what I mean 7- the radar system doesn’t work in the snowy and rainy conditions 8- the fan of climate control is only controlled by the screen, if the screen damaged then you may freeze or get very hot until you get to a mechanical shop 9- the engine turns off once you shift the gear from R to D

It looks like a cross between a wagoneer and an expedition. There's more design cues from other suv's too .

Volkswagen still have a long way to go on the US market for the interior it's so basic I have some food ideas that would make this such really pop....but yep I have the 21 model and it's ok but yeah the interior is still lacking behind

The Atlas is not a nightmare for any rival. It’s only a nightmare for the driver who adjusts climate controls without looking away from the road

It’s only once.. the same as you do with volume on your phone ))) climate control is everything..

@viacheslavkrasin31195 ай бұрын
@@Blank00 the keyword is outside.. in your possession will be enough things to adjust the climate include the voice. In most cases you will turn it once and never touch. Exactly as you do on your smartphone (iPhone) without buttons. The same reasons were during the touchscreen design vs how I could control my device when I outside and using the 🧤. I need qwert keyboard. I do have ice in the morning and warm sun in a day. Buttonless design on other car makers is a question of time. As well as the start of car from the app and some features for which you should by subscriptions.

@@viacheslavkrasin3119 In temperate climate areas like New York, you turn on the heat during the winter and AC during the summer. During the fall and spring, it can be warm one day and cool the next day, meaning you might switch between heating and AC from day to day during those two seasons to reflect that. Fall and spring is not a gradual change in temperature, it fluctuates from day to day. There are also other nonsteady factors that make drivers want to change the temperature, such as humidity

@@Blank00 North Atlanta 26-65F during consequence 24 hours in Dec2023. It's a question of one button or action to enable/disable AC. Again it has smart climate (voice control) and settings that have presets to an external temperature. You are stating the problem in an area that no longer exists.

I'd still rather have the KIA Telluride for the volume knob, physical HVAC controls, naturally-aspirated V6, and MUCH better warranty.
@Blank007 ай бұрын
I’d even prefer the Pilot over this. Given the choice between a small screen vs capacitive everything, I’d pick the small screen any day.
@haze11237 ай бұрын
Agree. I would take the Pilot, Grand Highlander, Telluride, or even the new Traverse over this. Simply because of the interior controls.
@Blank007 ай бұрын
@@haze1123 overall, I’d rank the Atlas in last place for midsize suv choices, tied with the Subaru Descent

I would think the atlas is better then a kia

VW doesn't think so. They only offer a 50K warranty. The KIA comes with 100K.

Honda Pilot has a better interior and better keyfob, the VW’s capacitive buttons in the center console, keyfob, and headlights are less functional and less ergonomical than the hard buttons in the Honda. I also hate how with the VWs, the infotainment makes you do things in multiple steps for vital features such as HVAC, whereas the Honda just makes you press one button for that. Call the Honda boring and outdated all you want, but boring and outdated is better if modern and flashy means sacrificing functionality and ergonomics
@bryllercrown38748 ай бұрын
Honda fanboy? Or honda salesman?🤣🤣🤣🤣

You probably also love how Honda Pilot gives you an infotainment screen which makes the new interior look a decade old.
@Blank008 ай бұрын
@@robinsenful i prefer it over anything that lacks functionality (AKA Atlas and Ascent). VW and Subaru have bigger screens, but they do it at the expense of hard buttons, which is less ergonomical, which means sacrificing functionality, hence the Pilot has a better interior
