Namaste, Watch this video for my review about Kia Seltos after driving it for 2 weeks. I drove it on different sections of roads at clocked almost 2000 km. While I drove 1.4 Turbo Petrol with Manual transmission, I will soon give my remaining thoughts about 1.5 Diesel and 1.5 Petrol.

I have HTK plus diesel variant and I have driven it 26,500 km. Iam getting fantastic mileage of 22 kmpl on highway by tank to tank method. Pickup is also excellent in diesel variant. There is no single issue in my Seltos. Car is tough as well , I have hit many potholes many times but still there is no strange noise from suspension or axles. Overall Kia Seltos is an excellent SUV

@@deepaknarayan3251 now my car has covered 64,000 km as of now but still it is smooth as brand new , there is no single strange noise from engine. Till date i have changed only front left shockup.

Hi Gagan I feel there is one big mistake in the review, about the average of the car I have the 7DCT one and I can comfortably say in city it easily gives from 12 - 14 and on high way 15 - 17 I have seen other seltos DCTS average aswell and its quite common unless you drive in too much traffic areas... then about the power and turbo I would say after third service when you drive the car in normal or sports mode the pickup becomes quite linear definitely when turbo kicks in you feel the boost but its now not a sudden surge that it was in the in the first 5000 kms, lastly the last point you mentioned about the release of accelerator and pressing it again that has never happened in my car so cant say much about it... the reviews is great, there is a flaw in hyundai and kia TGDI engines that they make alot of sound on lower rpms that I think should be mentioned by the reviewers which I see no One mentioning and it is present in all TGDI engines compared to suzuki, honda, toyota something that should be taken care of, the service experience of the car is good..

It depends which city you are in. In metro cities, and in Bangalore, Im with Gagan. 1.4 turbo Petrol dct can never exceed 10 kmpl in high traffic cities. I own Skoda rapid diesel DSG, it gives 12.5 to 13 kmpl in city. On highways it crosses 20 kmpl. And recently launched rapid 1 litre tsi gives around 9 to 10 kmpl in city. This is predominantly due to spending time in 2 and 3 gears. And stop and go traffic. Key is to keep the revs low.

@@muralimohant.d.2200 I think yes if you drive in peak hours and stop go traffic then not only this but its hard for any car to go beyond 12 kmpl but I can say what I have discussed and seen at the service centre , I live in delhi all I can say is what I experienced :)

I have HTX diesel manual. Haven't had any issues with mine although it's been driven for just 5000km only Yes the suspension is hard so people who like plush riding all the time should opt for creta instead. The biggest demerit with the CAR and i guess gagan ji you should have mentioned is that the LED lights which the car got is not suitable for night highway drive. The headlight doesn't give you lot confidence for driving bit faster at night. And is almost useless in heavy rain. For city it's perfectly fine. But I'm having fun with my diesel. It's almost close to turbo petrol. This vehicle shows no compromise with power if you're travelling alone or with 5 peoples. 😍

Kia should have given it at least 200mm ground clearance. It would have improved the overall presence

Actually It has that much 200mm ground clearance but lowered by placing a front flap below bumper intentionally to evade another wierd rule for vehicles above 4m. "If such vehicles will have GC 200mm and above these will be taxed higher as SUVs" That's why we see higher GC in Nexon and Sonet!

I own HTX IVT as you mentioned about the light jerks i also feel the same in my car it feels like engine is not able to maintain certain rpm and after releasing the accelerator pedal and again pressing it the jerks stop but it happens very rarely and mostly in city at low speeds only. Otherwise no issues at all completed 16000kms mostly highway runs .

@@Teja81990 even i was going to buy the DCT after booking IVT due to non availability but the same day i asked the showroom guys to cancel my IVT and give me DCT of some other customer who had canceled his booking somehow my car got dispatched from plant and i got my car in just 20 days after booking even showroom guys could not believe how fast my car got dispatched even after having a 90 days waiting period.

Absolutely spot on about the approach angle. This is an urban SUV. Foreign versions have much better approach angle. Wish Kia makes changes to the front bumper.

Hi Gagan ji. I am confused between seltos petrol 1500 mt and ivt variant. My running will be around 800 Km month. Is ivt good on hills or I should go for Mt. Mileage of both Mt and ivt Variant ? I can go for Mt if otherwise Better than ivt except auto feature. Thankful if you reply.
