I have now my 2nd Kia for 2 years ( a Kia Sportage 2016 4 WD 2.0 turbo Diesel ) and I had a Sorento diesel 2010 before , these are my " best Cars I had " , I had a few Toyota diesels Cars , the Kia leaves them for dead. ( P.S I am not working for Kia )Cheers from NZ

Thank you, a very informative report. I really like the Kia, particularly having just priced up a Volvo XC60 and finding that it would cost me €65,000, and that's without many of the options that are standard on the Sorento. I think it would be over €70,000 to get the Volvo with the same equipment. The Kia 7 year warranty is also a big selling point.

True, but I have no need of the extra seating and would actually prefer a five seater. I wish that the Kia still sold the five seat option in my country, but the current price list only offers the 7 seater. You are quite correct, the price difference between the XC90 and Sorento is even more startling.

Very good and thorough review! The LED headlight issue is something I never knew about, and hopefully Kia will address this issue. I have owned a 2010 version of this car, for nearly 2 years. I had the engine remapped slightly to 215hp and 470NM which gives the extra power when you need it. This latest version seems to have all the modern technology and in my opinion, is a very good value for money. The car I have feels very stable at high speeds, although you have to back off a bit on tight bends. I have fitted Michelin Latitude Cross tyres which work well in the snow and muddy fields too. I am amazed you do not see more of them on the roads?

swizzler68 thank you a lot for your feedback!! Yes - it's really stable to drive at higher speeds. And no - I don't see them that often as a facelift. More the predecessor. The problem is that people have to learn that you get a lot more for less money than yooj might expect. Fantastic car!

Did I miss your thoughts on the braking system? I'd like to know how the brakes work in different situations, like stopping suddenly, hilly or flat terrains, weather conditions like rain or climates of cool and/or hot, etc. Great Review & Thanks

yes. And also start if the car goes soon. But like after 4 sec of sopping asks you to tap the accelerator or press the resume switch and then continues to follow.

Darren P @ Tell the truth bud! Anyone that knows shit about the KIA recall on some engines knows that KIA handled, and continues to handle the recall very well. Let's see if you would get that kind of coverage from GM or Chrysler. You received a brand new engine with lots of warranty. Why bitch about it idiot!
