Great review. I have the 2020 GT AWD with a bunch of mods springs, sway bars, windbooster, injen intakes, Velossa tech lit snorkels, MBRP catback and Jun BL downpipes. Female driver but always been into fast cars. I want to upgrade to the 2023 GT2 AWD before it’s discontinued as rumored

They are great cars! Im looking forward to tcu tunes. Everyone is saying it will get your car into the mid to high 3 second 0-60 range. Your car sounds like it’s got a lot of great mods.

With jb4 map 2/3 the tcu tune should get you into the high 3s 0-60 territory. It does take abit to practice the launching though. But with a dedicated ecu/tcu. You should be mod 3s without the jb4.

Also, forgot to mention.. Paddle shifting manually on key rpms on best eta's does wonders with tuned tcu. Helps you stay in the boost powerband.

Hey Dad, nice job, you and baby girl. You've given lots of great tips in the past, sir. I'd like to share one with you. To make your tiers stand out, get a can of Meguiar's hot shine gloss spray for your tires.Turn one side facing the sun. As that bakes on for 3 min, flip the car to the other side and do the same thing. Then, take a photo of that bad boy Kia. God bless you and the family, sir. Stay safe and stay blessed... One year in and my biggest gripe is that there isn’t a consistent manual mode. Previously had an A4 that I could throw in manual and it was manual and never auto returned itself to automatic. Loved it and love the Stinger, but want full manual mode. Is there a fix to this that I just don’t know about? I know sport mode holds it, but would like the same control on the other modes. The custom setting comes close but not a complete solution.

I know the gt1 you can keep it in manual mode. Your sport mode holds manual mode? My car will not hold it in manual mode. It doesn’t matter what setting it’s in. I haven’t heard of any fixes for this as of yet.

So yeah - the GT1 isn’t shift by wire, so it operates differently. Sport mode should hold it and you can set up Custom mode and put the engine/transmission in sport and configure the other settings how you want them and that’ll hold too, but it always goes back to “D” when you stop. You have to put it in 1st gear - just like driving a manual - before you start again and then it’ll hold until your next stop.

hold down the tranction control button til stability control also disables, be in sport mode with shifter in manual mode, wont downshift except at stops

The only fix is to downgrade to a gt1 that has shift by cable.

I have read that. We will have to wait and see if that comes true. They are definitely making an electric push.
