I purchased this remote starter for my Hyundai. Immediately after plugging it in it shorted out my electrical system. My wiper, headlights and Heat/AC were dead. My car was at the Hyundai dealership for 145 days. The mechanic confirmed the remote starter shorted the system. I just got my car back and the company refuses to reimburse me the $1,800 for repairs. @OVRBoosted12 күн бұрын
@@EverydayZach Sorry, not offended. I’m under the understanding that if you’re on the pedal to long that you risk stalling the torque converter. I also have been told to bring it up quickly to around 5psi boost then let go. The reason behind this is because the transmission in these cars can’t handle to much of a beating. They are the weak link. I have confirmed on the jb4 that I do build about 5psi when I do it like that. It’s all good and I apologize. However that’s my reasoning
@EverydayZach12 күн бұрын
@@OVRBoosted Great explanation! I personally have a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 on stock tune. I drag every Friday night and personally have had no issues with the transmission or the TQ converter stalling out. (personally haha) I have noticed it takes a second or two on RPM's for my car to build boost (and this could just be a tune difference honestly and more then likely is) so my comment is more based on my own experiences with boost. I have had other cars that take a moment to build boost as well but I was running 8-12 pounds at launch. The way I personally think about this is, when you slam the pedal down and the rpm's rise, the BOV(Diverter valves) close and it takes a moment to fully charge the entire system and if we let off the brake while the system is fully charging to that 5 psi, yes the PSI will continue to build as the RPM's rise after the 1.5-1.9K launch but we loose torque and HP due to it not having the charge pipes, intercooler, and intake fully pressurized. but this is just my take on it. I noticed a harder launch and faster 0-60 when you held the RMP's a little longer (This was the 4 wheel burnout you did) and is really the only reason I decided to comment. I have not heard that the transmissions are the weak link in these cars but now you have me a little worried and I will be doing some much needed research as If this is true, how terrible my transmission is after I have beaten the crap out of it for the last 9 months hahaha.. I appreciate your explanation and the time you took to respond! Have an awesome day!

Nice wheels! Careful removing lug nuts before lifting the tire completely off of the ground. That tire could fall onto you and really cause some damage. It also stresses the shit out of the studs because the weight of the car falls onto the threads vs seated via 5 conical lug nuts. I just switched from 19's to 18's on my g70. I will admit that the 20 looks much much better but local roads dictate I use a thicker sidewall. Also my car is RWD so I think it helps a tad with straight line traction going from a 255/35r19 to a 285/35r18. Good luck man!!!

I have the 2022 GT Elite trim (Canada) and I love the car, pretty much everything you said, the things I don't like are that it doesn't start in sport mode, the auto shutoff is always on by default when you start the car, so you have to remember to click it off. I have heard the headliner creak (known issue) when driving with the windows up and music off, but it's really minor. I mean other than those, the car is amazing, looks so frikkin good, the power is a healthy amount even stock, the car just feels so high quality even for closing the doors, handles really nicely for a 4000lb car! Yeah I am never selling this thing, especially with it being discontinued
