Had a Stonic as a rental in Iceland. Surprisingly capable, also on F roads fording streams...as a 2WD. The interior is not posh but indeed child proof and functional. I was impressed. 600 km a day, no problem. Decent conso as well.

I would choose the Kia Stonic. I think it has better value for money. With the manual gearbox, the car will be reliable and you also benefit from a bumper-to-bumper warranty that lasts 7 years.

Spent this past august researching my new car. Watched Carwow and many other reviews. Sat in and drove several models. Out of these three cars the Renault was never on my short list as I can't stand the interior looks and that's what you see while driving. So it was either the Arona or the Stonic. I ended up buying the Stonic with the 120hp petrol engine. I liked the looks of both cars equally, but the interior feel of the Stonic is miles ahead of the terrible plastics used in the Seat. There are two things I envy from the Arona though. The boot space and the visibility. It's harder to fit a bike in the Stonic than it is in the Arona, and the visibilty is not the best in the Stonic. I can't really tell where the front of the car is while parking, and the sideview is not the best either (may be I'm used to 3-door cars with big doors and the B-pillar further back). MPG could be better too. Can't compare with the Arona on this as I only tried it for some minutes. One thing that worries me in the Stonic are the lights down in the rear bumper. I fear they could be crushed by people parking without respect to other peoples cars (which Europe has plenty of). This is my first non-european car ever and I'd buy the Stonic again. Today we booked Arona FR for my wife and I must say it is an excellent car based on test drive and quite a stiff comparison between Kamiq/i20/i30. The kit is excellent with FR model having almost everything that you need even without any significant additions 21.6k€ with very lucrative financing by VW. This is my second seat this year after Tarraco eHybrid it is a big achievement considering I am in den of Skoda and wife gets 12% corporate discount on skoda Kamiq

For me, the driving position was decisive and that is why I chose Kia Stonic. Some people prefer a high driving position, while I prefer a low one. The Stonic places your backside closest to the floor and your legs stretched out straightest. I don't like sitting in a high chair for long periods of time. I feel much more comfortable in a low chair. I got into the Stonic and immediately felt that this was the car for me, the one I was looking for.

Just bought an Arona FR Sport, second hand. It really exceeds expectations. Fast, economical on MPG, stylish and practical. My wife says its the best looking car we've ever had. I tend to agree. Lovely to drive too, especially after my rather lumbering Ford Focus.

Fair decision. Price: 1. Renault 2. Kia. 3. Seat (but with a minimal difference between them) Exterior looks: 1. Kia. 2. Renault. 3. Seat. Interior looks and quality: They are equal, Kia looking the best, but with worst material quality, Renault best quality and worst look, Seat being a mixt in quality and looks wich might give it the edge over Kia and Renault. Practicality: Seat comes first at passenger space and boot space, Renault second and Kia last. Driving: Seat comes first, being a mixt of sporty/comfort/height wich is what people buying this cars want, Renault and Stonic being quite equal, depending on what you prefer. If it were my decising, I`d probabily choose Kia because of it`s reliability record and 7y warranty.

The warrenty for Kia has lot of exeptions , it 's disapointed , it 's not 7 years for all the components / pieces but poeple don't know it . Better to negociate an extra complete warrenty with Seat or Renault for free.

The Kia Stonic wins for me. You get most for it´s value. Maybe not with 1.0 T-GDi but with 1.4 is fine, best reliability and seven years warranty. I´ve driven a Stonic and center console didn´t wobble at all. Captur is also fine but I find the interior quite weird, and unfortunately some things, especially gauge cluster and screen makes me think about cars as Renault Trafic or Dacias (except the new Duster). Arona is just a sea of cheap and scratchy plastic. The only good thing about it is practicality..

Actually if you look at some other reviews he prefers the other cars over a Volkswagen group car. The Volkswagen group do make quite good cars as their sales figures will tell u. The Asian cars are good but sometimes lack the solid feel of the German (Or Volkswagen group) cars...but that's just my opinion :)

I had the Kia which was a nice car but after purchasing the arona xcellence lux there was no comparison for me. Far superior in the drive and proformence. Also being part of the VW group you have that reliability. The park assist is a bonus, plus the sound system

The Captur is by far the oldest but it's still a good car, it's more Japanese than french, engines and platform are sourced from Nissan, I own a Captur with more than 5 years and it's a very good city car, very reliable, confortable and safe.

We got the stonic in urban grey with orange roof. Fantastic car. Is it just me or is the rear seat in the seat so achingly boring. Kia has contrast stitching, usb charge ports etc. Not to mention 7 year warranty and greater reliability than either of the others.

I went to look at the Seat Arona. I am 6ft 3 and there was plenty of room. However when I tried to get out of the Drivers seat the B Pillar is in the way so much so that when in the driving position I have to lean forward to look right. So not for tall drivers.

I had a diesel Captur as a courtesy car when my Zoe was in for a service. I thought the Captur was really noisy, clunky, slow and not great to drive at all. It may just be that I'm used to how quiet and smooth an electric car is though.

If ever it comes to India and priced around Nissan kicks, it is a better buy than Nissan Kicks, Kia have improved their safety and reliability since past 4-5 years and now stand above Honda in terms overall reliability. While Nissan Kicks packs more standard features (including headrest bose audio), kia cars are way more reliable n long term ownership. Auto mechanics in US always say no to nissan and recommend Kia, Toyota or Honda for long term ownership.

I have a 2018 Seat Arona and a 2017 Hyundai i30. Buy the i30. We bought the Arona in its Excellence version and the i30 in the Style Lux version, both top of their range, both petrol and automatic (the Arona 115hp and the i30 140hp) and the Hyundai cost just 500€ more. Around 23.000€. Compared to the i30, the Arona has a really shitty interior full of hard cheap plastic, a terrible start/stop system that stops the car even when you haven’t stepped fully on the brake, a horrendous noise isolation, a infotainment system that does not work at all with Android Auto (it crashes time and time again, sometimes does not even connect)... The i30 on the other hand has a much smoother engine, way better interior (soft plastics and soft closing everything), its Android Auto works perfectly, the cabin is way more isolated, leather heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, plus a 5 year warranty. And, it looks amazing too in my opinion. And for just 500€ more than the Seat (which feels like a 16-18k€ car, not a 22,5k€ one, even in the Excellence version). Small SUVs are a no go for me, they are soo overpriced.
