Bro, தயவுசெய்து diesel engineஐ appreciate பண்றேன்னு சொல்லாதீங்க. ஏன்னா, நிறைய Car reviewers diesel engineஐப் பத்தி பெருமையாப் பேசறாங்களேன்னு 2023 Julyல நான் Kia Seltas diesel Car வாங்கினேன். ஆனா, engine drive பண்றதுக்கு smoothஆ இல்லே. ரெண்டு தடவை DPF issue வந்தது. Service Centre கொண்டு போனேன். DPF component க்கு Order place பண்ணி ஒரு மாசம் wait பண்ணணும்னு சொன்னாங்க. ஏன் waitingனு கேட்டா, என்னை மாதிரி All India முழுவதும் நிறைய Service Centresல அவங்கவங்க customersக்கு order பண்ணியிருக்காங்க. அதுனால உங்களுக்கு seniorityபடி வரும்னாங்க. நானும் சேரின்னு சொன்னேன். வேற என்ன பண்றது. அதுக்கப்பறம், அந்த DPF component வர்ற வரைக்கும் Carஐ long drive ஓட்டிட்டுப் போகக் கூடாதுன்னு சொன்னாங்க. அப்பத்தான் எனக்கு long drive போகக் கூடிய சூழ்நிலையும் வந்தது. Carல long drive போறதை enjoy பண்ணக்கூடிய நான் Trainல போகவேண்டியதாப் போச்சு. ஒரு வழியா DPF component வந்து Carல Fix பண்ணினாங்க. இனிமே இப்போதைக்கு இந்தப் பிரச்சனை வராதுன்னு சொன்னாங்க. நானும் அடுத்த தடவை ஒரு long drive plan பண்ணிப் போய்ட்டு வந்தேன். அடுத்த ரெண்டு மாசம்தான் நான் நிம்மதியா இருந்தேன். அதுக்கப்பறம் திரும்பவும் அதே issue வந்தது. மறுபடியும் service centre கொண்டு போனேன். Mechanicஐ கேட்டேன், இப்பத்தானேங்க DPF ஐ மாத்தினேன் அதுக்குள்ள எப்படிங்க அதே பிரச்சனை வந்ததுன்னு. அவங்களுக்குப் பதில்சொல்ல ஒன்னுமே இல்லை. திரும்பவும் DPF order பண்ணாங்க. இந்தத் தடவை ஒன்றரை மாசம் ஆச்சு. அதுவரைக்கும் long drive போகவேண்டாம்னு சொன்னாங்க. மறுபடியும் DPF மாத்தினாங்க. இதுல என்ன ஒரு கவனிக்க வேண்டிய விசயம்னா, DPF issue வர்றதுக்கு முன்னால ஒரு indication வரும், அப்போ DPF regeneration processஐ follow பண்ணினா problem resolve ஆகிடும்னாங்க. ஆனா எனக்கு அப்படி எந்த indicationனும் வரலை. எனக்கு Digital displayல என்ன வந்ததுன்னா "Engine Management System Malfunction, visit your authorised Kia Service Centre". அங்கே போனப்போ DPF componentஐ மாத்தறதுதான் ஒரே வழின்னு சொன்னாங்க. நான் அந்த Diesel Carஐ வாங்கி ஓட்டுனதை விட நான் service centreக்கு அலைஞ்சதுதான் அதிகம். இந்த மன உளைச்சல் தாங்காம நான் ஒரு வருஷத்துலயே அந்த Carஐ வித்துட்டேன். அதனால நீங்கள்லாம் Diesel Carஐப் பத்தி பெருமையாப் பேசினா DPF component இல்லாத old generation Diesel Carஐப் பத்தி மட்டும் பேசுங்க. Bro - just out of interest I am typing this reply. I don’t know the exact issue or the symptom when you say DPF issue. However what I understand is clogged DPF, smoke coming through bonnet or inside the cabin, overheat issue etc., when you say DPF component, not sure what exactly you mean! There is DPF which is the filter, DPF pressure sensors which checks the pressure at the inlet and outlet of the DPF, DPF pressure pipe, exhaust manifold etc., problem in the turbo can also cause DPF issue! The main thing is identifying the problem and its root cause. Usually solving problems like this needs good skill of the mechanic and patience from the customer. Straight replacement of the so called DPF component is not the solution always. My 1.5DCI turbo powered diesel vehicle is in workshop for the past 70 days. The problem that the car has got is clogged DPF which sends smoke inside cars cabin. They have identified lot of issues that causes the problem - turbo unit, exhaust manifold, DPF pressure pipe, cambelt or timing belt, thermostat, gasket, finally clearing the DPF. Ordering and receiving of each part, testing the vehicle, reordering any other part needed or same part which was sent wrongly etc., all take lot of time. Before buying diesel car, there are certain things that we should be aware of to avoid future problems. This is the lesson that I have learnt. I would pass on the lesson to everyone!

Super explanation Bro. All things are well explained. Back seat space is very Super. If kia gives Torque Converter instead of DCT In petrol automatic will fine. Because other brands give TC in petrol automatic like kylaq and 3xo. I think TC IS more reliable than DCT. KIA should consider it. What's your opinion bro. Tq.

Hyundai/Kia have different platforms. K1 is for sub-compact cars (A-segment). i10 NIOS, Exter etc use this platform. K2 is far more rigid and is for B and C-segment (Venue, Sonet, Carens, Verna use this). K2 is inherently pricier, being a superior platform to K1. Syros uses the K1 platform. Kia seems to have taken a decision to use this cheaper platform and use it to provide a sub-4 meter SUV, so that they can provide for a larger number of features at a more competitive price point. I seriously doubt if it will have the structural rigidity to score 5-stars like the Verna. It is possible it will score a 4-star, not due to a solid body-shell, but maybe due to brownie points earned through 6 airbags, a host of safety features, ADAS etc. K1 for me is far inferior to the Global-C platform on which the Brezza/Grand Vitara are based on. Of course no comparison to the Nexon/3XO/Kylaq in terms of body shell quality. On the plus side, you get a spacious vehicle, with plenty of features and Kia's brilliant refinement.

Your usage will determine your reliability bro, eg venue dct ku you can avail 7 years or 1.4 lakh kms extended warranty, These turbo DCts are not for long-term , it's for the short term thrill So if you are ok with 7 years, just get a dct and go for 7 years warranty

Don't prefer DCT and Diesel also.. Both long term not reliable.... DCT - heating issue and 2lks it will cost if it s turbo engine no mileage.... Diesel DPF issue will come

@@sriramvenkat1 the issue is sub 4 meter cars la, all you get is a diesel or a turbo with dct, at etc and the venue 1.2 kappa 4 cylinder is underpowered, so its a choice, 99 percent of the higher rpm diesel users don't get the dpf issues To overcome these you need to go for the 1.5 NA in the mid segment to be q bit safe and sacrificing a few features

Since syros does not come with a 4 cylinder NA petrol , offcourse that 1.2 is a bit underpowered, Syros is being brought in to make it more spacious than a sonet But since it only comes with a turbo and diesel with a Adblue , Its not a car for all still
