US Army vs Cuban Military | Red Dead Redemption 2 NPC Wars 90

This was inspired by D-Day and the Spanish-American War but is not meant to be accurate in any way. Don't forget these are mostly just for fun and to see all the awesome physics and AI combat. There is a part 2 of this coming in the next RDR2 NPC Wars. It will be on another part of Guarma and is really cool. Can't wait to show it off to you all. Enjoy!

If I may make a suggestion. As much as it’s cool to see them fight it can get boring after a bit. What I think would be cool is if you commentated over the battles! Like go from part to part and tell us what’s going on, give us the stats, casualties, and just your overall reactions to the carnage. I think that would make it feel a lot more real and be much more fun and exciting. Maybe make a poll about it and see what others say

Scenario: 1899, Guarma *First Battle of Guarma* After the annexation of Guarma by Cuban forces, the US Army sent an expeditionary force of 500 men to the island. Prior to the landing, the US Navy shelled the town, leaving the ruins for the Cubans to set up defenses in. The American forces landed using small steam-powered boats at the coastal town of Aguasdulces, known for its massive sugarcane plantation. (1:10) The initial US landing force suffered heavy losses, with multiple ships sunk and men drowning to death. The second (6:04) and third landing (11:17) force flanked the enemy defenses and also landed on the boat ramp. This led to heavy close quarters combat within the town. The Americans managed to eliminate a machine gun position in the town, allowing their advance. US Army Pvt. Jeremiah Williams was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for exposing himself to the machine gun to throw dynamite at it, before he was gunned down by the Cubans (8:37). The US Army proceeded uphill into the sugarcane plantation (13:32), advancing in the open sugarfield without any cover. They exchanged fire with defending Cuban forces on the other side of the field. The Cuban machine guns and artillery opened up on the US troops (14:25), mowing them down. The remaining US forces retreated. Though there were heavy losses on both sides, the Cuban Army came out victorious in the First Battle of Guarma.

The sequence from 8:00 to 8:50 is top notch! The second soldier running in there is the same guy who throws the dynamite and destroys the Gattling Gun at 8:38 and the 3rd soldier running in is the guy who gets tackled at 8:19 by the cuban soldier, and that cuban survives the whole sequence. It's like these guys were characters.

I love these videos man. I've made up my own back story for these videos and I watch them in a specific order it's so fun. The rdr2 and gta 5 videos you've made are by far my favorite thing on KZbin. Also if I could make a request, if it's possible I'd love to see an urban area battle between the Cuban and American army. One that's close quarters and involves a lot of shotguns, handguns and melee combat. If that's at all possible I'd appreciate it! Keep up the great work!
