Couple of thoughts. Even though KZbin gets a view when you embed, they want you to leave the site so you increase watch time on their platform and hopefully watch other content, same as Kick would. I also don't mind the idea of loyalty programs for viewers but they need to be carefully managed or they just end up creating inauthentic engagement and view bot farms. Great vid! Great takes.

Correct about KZbin, but it still doesn’t neglect the fact that it counts as views and watch time on the embed. As for the farming I think opting in through captcha would protect that would it not? If viewer redemptions weren’t just automatically enabled and you have to go through a captcha to turn them on?

@@BigE Bots can bypass captchas. Twitter/x keeps making it harder to get paid every 5 to 6 months to combat verified bots farms.

the quality of life change i would make is the Clip creation tool i feel like Twitch's is very streamlined and Kicks isn't as good comparatively

Only Kick feature I’m really looking forward to is the API release so more 3rd party integrations can be used by everyone. I have so many StreamerBot ideas I’d love to create.

The only feature I think they really need is that API. That would open up integrations into so many things that they wouldnt even need to develop for. (Like Streamelements)

@@BigE If they move forward with this, they could dominate the entire streaming market. Here’s why: they’d be able to offer viewers specific incentives tied to whatever metric they decide to use, whether it’s RPM (revenue per thousand) or something else. That would be huge. it would also be a game-changing feature for both streamers and viewers. I think the best approach would be to roll it out in beta on select channels, like yours, that have strong, well-formed communities. That way, they can test it properly, similar to how KZbin has done in the past. I believe this would work really well.

People would love being on Kick if the website was respectable. For as long as they have their physically dangerous Creators, hardly anyone is going to want to support Kick as a platform. I have looked around at Kick's website and it's not that bad, but the social respect of Kick has just... absolutely been destroyed due to certain Content Creators. If Kick pushed itself into a respectable place, I can guarantee that they would get more and more creators AND viewers. I personally wouldn't push Kick just because I don't see them getting rid of their problem children. Money is always wanted but let's be honest, Money won't push EVERYONE to a platform if that platform becomes a dangerous place to hang out in. Just look at how X is going rn. Morality will always beat monetary gain for the most respectable people.

So Twitter has had porn and people getting killed for years, KZbin has a whole section of nudity, Instagram has a HUGE racism section problem and TikTok has a dark side that would make your skin crawl. Not to mention EVERY problem child on Kick has a twitter, youtube, tiktok and instagram, plus half of them have twitch. My question is when you have all this that exists on everything else, why is it ok to be on every other platform but not kick?

That they are. Its kind of nice though because they have the money at Kick to do what they want and not have to answer to a mom and dad company that bleeds the money of the creators for greed.
