Many, I actually assume all, creators or writers make some and sometimes a lot material, which they will not publish. It can be actually useful. Practice is always useful. You cannot improve your skills without practice. Being creative means that you need to take some risks and try out things. Some failures are always part of learning or you are not trying enough. How do you know what to do, if you don't take the risk of failing. It's a personal delicate decision to choose what to publish. Another thing many of us suffers is the fear of failing or being too concerned of what the others might think of us. That can paralyze people from trying and doing things in life.

You mentioned a rock. You were making the video at a place where the whole landscape was constructed by a big glacier at the end of the lastest ice age. Those rocks you see are most likely erratic boulders.
