I think it's pretty goofy to act like people are getting harassed in streamers chats on Kick for saying anything that implies they're gay. For big streamers, chat moves way too fast for anyone to even care. 99% of streamers who see the comment wouldn't even mention it. The whole "it's unsafe for trans/gay/minorities" is really just a made up argument by people who don't like Kick. It's not something that really happens and that people need to be concerned about.

I think if Kick doesn't get their shit together, the whole thing is going to collapse like a house of cards. If they really want to attract more streamers from Twitch, they need better content moderation and they need to be more strict about what they show on their platform. Otherwise, I believe Kick is going to die slowly, and that's the last thing Ed wants after the amount of money he has spent on this platform.

Why would they? I believe that kick's main reason to exist is to promote the gambling. It is only reason that make sense for gambling companies to invest that much money into it. They can get them to buy stuff, change the way they act and get them to do stuff. It is as much an influencer to look after their audience as much as it is a game company's responsibility to make sure kids don't play their games. The biggest issue isn't the gambling so much as that it's often rigged gambling. Owners of the slots and such can give sponsored streamers better odds, and it tricks people into thinking they can win big too (they can't, usually)

I do find it a tad ironic that Pokimane is anti-gambling, given that I've heard her name is a combo of Pokemon and her irl name, and the original Pokemon games had gambling parlors in them.

I don't think you're wrong entirely, but the last time a Pokemon game had gambling was FireRed in the early 2000s so far as I remember, and it was never a required mechanic, even if you did want to buy the Pokemon there you could buy the correct number of tickets or whatever it was and purchase them outright.
