Thank you! Yeah, I’ve been working as an engineer, ghost producer and a teacher behind the scenes but still very much going strong! 😎

Ahh mate I had no idea you were on here. Ive got a few of your records from the 00's. I remember that electric disco remix blowing my pants off back in the day. Subscribed legend, keep pushing!!

Pretty much doing the same, except I've yet to pay for shaperbox so I just use EQ3 to create 3 bands, and use Ableton's Shaper on them. I also use a stem separation AI tool (pretty sure any would do) in full tracks to isolate the drums and then proceed like you showed in this video. Top notch stuff, hope to see more. I used to listen to your stuff all the way back, so hyped to see you making tutorials.

Thank you very much! Yes, great techniques you already have. It’s the idea of sampling kicks from other tracks that’s the crux of this video so you’re already there. And yes - loads more coming from me so watch out.

@@DRamirezMusic How can I find out the cost of your mentoring program?

In Ableton you can use the Multiband Compressor to isolate the 3 bands and with the fades, keep only the parts you need. There are several tutorials online, the last I saw from Dilby, the dj and producer

Nice! I’ll check out the other techniques. I’m a sampling fan so anything to make the task more efficient is good for me.

Came to the comment section for this. Probably the best free way for ableton users. Tutor called Steal A Kick From Any Track by Dilby.

Would you sample kicks from mp3s 320? As far as I know you could since the information lost are in the higher frequencies but I honestly hate to do it as I feel like it just aint the same as cd quality 😅
@deanmarriott678620 сағат бұрын
Honestly, I don’t really care where my sample comes from - be it MP3 or Wav. However, of course the higher the original quality, the higher the quality of the finished product so if you don’t mind a bit of dirt, grit, mp3 aliasing, lofi filth and that’s the effect that gets you the required results then that’s good enough for me.
