As a fighter, it's worth not worrying so much about how you look and more about your performance. You think Islam makachev cares about how big his legs are? No, he cares about about how is body feels and how strong and active he is in the cage. You'll be a lot happier with this mentality as well.

I do not know if you read comments but beautiful sparring. To be able to slow a fight down and be technical is a skill in itself that is very underrated. You are progressing amazingly fast. Good shit bro.
@Not_Livid17 сағат бұрын
You should start thinking about some good functional Strength + Plyo workouts to add in order to benefit your fighting. it will only maximise peformance whilst having slight muscle activation so youll still maintain your physique. not hitting any S&C injury prevention work can be detrimental in the long run.

1stman had a video awhile back that resonated with me, saying that if you're not going to go pro and make money it's better to focus on aesthetics. Because too much cardio can make you look worse. 180 is a pretty good sweet spot though at 6'1 6'2 Weightlifting also is the one thing that has made me not feel like a worm lol. Fight training has never done that for me. I also had a similar childhood living in fear of my Father. And lifting gave me a lot of confidence and changed my life. But this is inspiring me a bit to go through a kickboxing phase. Also might be good to take my cousins because they're at the pivotal age of 13 where they need to develop confidence.

Too much cardio definitely doesn't make you look worse. When I was marathon training plus doing bodyweight I looked almost like Brand Pitt in fight club and could eat whatever I wanted without gaining weight
@Growordecay47 минут бұрын
@UnseemlyGenie00 Look at soccer players versus a model like David Gandy. I highly doubt Brad Pitt was running 5 miles a day. If you were optimizing for looks you would be better suited doing something like HIIT and ditching sports but again it's about how you feel anyway.

Hey Hamza, what do you think about the risk of brain damage like cte from contact sports? Because it will come mostly from sparring and training like getting sub-concussive blows that you don’t feel any effects but they add up creating bigger damage later in life?
@jackward7707 сағат бұрын
not really a thing in muy thai, if you watch thai fighters, it is playful, it is normally from boxing and shitty gyms.
@Petru994 сағат бұрын
@@jackward770 yes but still, the human brain isn’t supposed to get hit hundreds of times or even thousands no matter the blow power, won’t that cause any damage, I’ve heard you can get CTE from jet skiing from your body constantly jumping up and down.
@jackward7703 сағат бұрын
@Petru99 You sound like you live in fear brother. You are fair to have some doubts, but aslong as you do not go 100 percent everytime, you'll be okay. As I said, muy thai or kickboxing is best compared to boxing. Do BJJ or wrestling if that scared, but you should be proficient in a kombat sport as a man.

Hamza are you sure you're not just building muscle through the kickboxing training? I find I build way more muscle through pure fight training than I ever did just lifting weights
@Ameer-S20 сағат бұрын
that means two things either you're flexing your muscles so hard while sparring which makes them grow or you're so bad at bodybuilding that you don't even train that hard either way they're both bad
@MrFatherJack17 сағат бұрын
@@Ameer-S haha not quite, more the act of fight training and dedicating any supplementary weight training to improving performance in fighting made me pack on more muscle. Maybe just because of increased motivation to train with it being something I really want to get good at rather than just training for looks ect. Point being training very hard as a fighter still builds muscle just maybe not in the super aesthetic sense as you would see in your typical bodybuilder

What's up hamza, do you think i can get an attractive physique doing calisthenics at home ? Im asking because in my country we don't have a gym here there are only Jeffrey's around so they don't think its important to build a gym ,and im not financially stable to buy dumbells and those type of equipments, so that's why im asking.
