That is the really sad truth right there. I'll bet she baby trapped Brad when she found out she was pregnant. Granted he can still be a dad to the boy if he wanted but his (ex)wife if sus as hell
@ZenoDovahkiin4 ай бұрын
@@Jerseybytes2 No, 100% not. I think the best option is get custody, refuse to do a DNA test if you can, and use the fact that Martin's name is on the birth certificate, a legally binding document. If they want certainty, they can later do a test with Thomas. But at this point if I was Martin, I'd worry that not being the bio dad could make custody more conplicated. Yes, he's legally the father, but just because Thomas' genes aren't rekevant to the case and it'd be cryel and inhumane to use it against him in court doesn't mean Jesse's unhinged self or her lawyers wouldn't try it or that the fucked uo family court system won't somehow get hung up on it and use it to favour the woman. I'd want to know if Thomas is mine or not, in fact even if you don't want to know, still find out for medical reasons. But first, get custody. His mother is abusive and needs to lose her power over him. Visitation at most, if she can calm tf down.

Depends on the crazy person that makes that assumption
@PeriwinklePig4 ай бұрын
Lot of whackjobs out there with no concept of nuance and a desire to control people, even in situations where that's just not possible. To them, a miscarriage that a mother has no real control over is exactly the same thing as her making the conscious decision to have a fetus aborted. This is essentially just abusers trying to "justify" why their victims ""deserved to be punished"" or to be abused plainly put. The point is to shift blame onto a victim to lash out at, rather than to accept the fact that life just throws some really sucky curveballs at people and learning how to deal with them like most adults. Logic is not going stop them unfortunately. The worst part is that you have politicians who genuinely think like this and are trying to push for laws that punish women for having miscarriages, regardless whether or not if she fully intend on becoming a mother and had zero interest in abortion.
@ZenoDovahkiin4 ай бұрын
Jesse wanted ammunition against OP and this is the best she got. There is some actual stigma around miscarriages because they *_can_* be the result of irresponsible behaviour from the mother. Basically some people will assume you did something to lose the child, just like when you bring your wife to the hospital with a blunt force injury from some accident they will think you beat her (yes this happens). Jesse jumped to this conclusion because she's a psycho. Actually arguing the point is useless. She'll stop trying to use the miscarriage as a shaming tool soon as she learns that nobody else actually blames OP and it's backfiring on her.

Since its not really illegal to be a awful person (I just mean rude toxic spilling drama etc) you cant really chase her out cause most of them will take it out on the child. Why would they even consider inviting her to the wedding? I get that they wanted to have a civil relationship with the mother of Thomas but she kinda destroyed that delusion every chance she got. And also, why would anyone judge you for a miscarriage when you didn't even know you were pregnant? I get it was very traumatic to OP, and hurling that in her face is definitely reaching the lowest of the low in terms of shitty things to do, but I don't see a world where other poeple would judge her for a surprise miscarriage, sounds like blank ammunition to me. And who in their right mind would think kicking someone who actively disrupted the wedding out is going too far? Thats literally the bare mininum. This just all seems like common sense to me. Obviously Jesse doesn't have any as she's insane, but the rest of the drama seems completely unnecessary to me and the result of the secondary characters (like Brad's parents) not having any common sense either. It shouldn't even be a question if OP was the asshole, nobody with a right mind would think that she was.
