A suggestion for your higher RPM problem. Maybe get a bigger rear turbo housing instead of a complete upgrade. This way, you might be able to keep most of your response while gaining some more top end. Maybe like a 1.01 or something if you can get it. So unlucky with the box man and btw NEVER turn off that limiter it sounds GODLY.

dunno whats available for your rear end but in my supra i broke a few r154s but I got a season out of one by running a 4.5 diff and no clutch kicks in 3rd and tried to use 4th gear more.

i cannnnnn telllllll its a vvti 1j head that soundddd... i know it. Props for not 2j swapping 1j vvtis imo are so much cooler better sounding and shorter stroke higher revs also heard the 1j vvti rods vs the 2j vvti rods are in fact stronger... due to them being shorter.. idk if thats true. the non vvti jz's used a different type of metal forging they added some sorta alloy to the foged vvti rods that made them even stronger then the non vvti. and they were able to make them lighter too. alot of people dont know this.
