You can’t go getting grandparents rights because you are not allowed to see the grandkids. It varies by state (if they are in the USA) but it’s mostly things like unfit parents or at times single parents that allow grandparents rights.

Because they respect the blood-sisters, and don't want to burden them by making them do the cleaning. But bc she's their brother's wife, she's not related, and it's her job to clean after them not their brother, so it doesn't matter.
