Wow that's amazing. It's crazy how a well made box can make a subwoofer react. I had the same sub (older version without red stitches) in a prefab 1.5cft box from ebay. It sounded alright but never acted this crazy! Very impressed!

@@FB6Eldred idk about that but depending on how low you wanna get youre gonna want a really big box. The box that my kicker was in is meant for a sundown x12 and its tuned to 32hz with box specifications from sundowns official website. Its a pretty big box for a sub like that kicker but it was SUPER loud compared to when i put it in a prefab box

@@FB6Eldred you should be alright just do some research on tuning an amp. If you can monitor voltage and properly tune the amp you will never have to worry about blowing them or harming your electrical system. With this sub I didn't really care about blowing it because I was moving to a different sub, but it still survived the settings I put it on

Pretty good box design.. perfect sizing for the compr at 2.5.. I would’ve tuned it down to 30 to get a little more out of it.. but 32 at 2.5 is a pretty nice place for that sub.. seen too many people putting these in those 2cube scar boxes tuned to 37 and kickers just don’t like boxes that small or tuned that high.. they already have little less low end then a lot of others so they need help from the box..

Yeah man i actually made this box for a bigger sub and just threw the kicker in for fun but i was amazed with how good it sounded. It used to be in a prefabbed best buy box lol sounded like straight shit but as soon as i put it in the new box, it was day and night difference. Im planning on building a bigger box for my sundown (you can find it in my other videos) but i might put another low rated sub in this box and see how it sounds

I had this in a smaller pre-fab box and it sounded like dog shit but after throwing it in that box I was amazed. Really makes a difference when they go in a good box !

I guess 600 was still too much. The ports on one side of my sub just randomly stopped working. I had to rewire it to one vc smh. Time for a new sub lol

That Kicker probably blew that same day. I'm sure it stank of electrical fire. I had the same sub, couldn't handle the CXA1200.1 @ almost zero gain. Blew it apart literally.

It definitely wasnt taking 2000 watts constantly but i do think it was reaching that. My tar amps is rated at i think 1920 watts on a 2 ohm load and i was pushing that speaker as far as it could go without clipping

Stock alternator with a big 3 but honestly the big 3 isnt that beneficial without an upgraded alternator. The magic is in the box. That box is tuned to 32 hz and its really big for one 12 but it lets any sub you put in there scream. I also had that kicker on wayyyy too much power but it sounded really good
