Do you know when Crutchfield will get back to helping out people with their connection problems again?They use to help you out with installations and walk you thru the steps for $30.They said that they stopped helping out with that when COVID stated.I was wondering if you know when they will start helping out people again that didn’t buy the kicker products from Crutchfield.They said that they can only help out people with information on the products that they purchased thru Crutchfield.Thanks for taking my questions.

So should I use the kisloc or keyloc to add an amp to my factory stereo. I was told by one of your people if I liked the sound of the factory radio but just needed to add extra bass the kisloc is all I need then another told me I really should use the keyloc to make sure the channel of the stereo I’m using has all the frequencies I need. I was planning on using the factory powered subwoofer for my source into the loc and it definitely don’t have any high frequencies but I’m not sure how much of the mid and low frequencies there are all I know is the factory sub is an 8inch and it only plays bass.

Does the kissl have problems draining the battery ? I purchased the LOC2 but I’m thinking of getting the KISSL instead bc I don’t have to pay extra for soldering or crimping materials . Plus no ground

As the KISL is simply an RCA cable, it doesn't have the ability to drain the battery by itself. However, if the accessory (like a LOC) was incorrectly connected to a 12v constant wire instead of a switched source, then it may be possible for that LOC to drain the battery. If you need help with wiring, give us a call! We are open weekdays from 8-5 central time at 405-624-8510. You can also email us at support@kicker.com.

Hi.. im building slowly a complete Kicker install ... to my factory head unit... in a 2018 Tiguan Volkswagen... i have the Kisload 4... Do i need the KeyLoc to match with it... Or should i get the KeyLoc just as a Processor to clean the noise from the radio? And still use the KisLoad 4 to keep the radio from shutting off... but the thing is... im using all cxa amps... smart stop capable... i have so many questions..... i have 12 inch downfiring comp with passive... 4 coaxial replacement speakers for the doors... so much going on...

The KEYLOC will help with your soundstage, frequency response, and remove the factory delay/ filters. However, nothing will remove noise from a radio. What you can do is determine where the signal is clipping from the radio. This is done with an oscilloscope or a SMD DD1. This will tell you how high you can go on the volume knob before the signal starts to degrade (a function of the radio's quality): kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3e2o3SQi9mnn6M We have test tones on our site: www.kicker.com/test-tones

will the kisl 2ch speaker to rca work with any amplifier or just kicker?
@KICKER-AUDIO Жыл бұрын
Any amp that accepts high level signal through RCA inputs (or vice versa).

I was wondering if you could help me out, I have a 2018 Silverado and recently purchased your cxa 1200.1 and a couple L78’s. When I got them installed they split off the rear speakers. The passenger side to be exact. I feel there’s still a bit of that bass frequency I’m missing out on. I ready somewhere it’s better to get them to split off the front speakers cause they’re a full range of bass coming through those is that accurate?

There are a few places where the frequency response is defined (or altered) in the signal chain: the factory radio and/or amp, where the manufacturer may have added a filter. The aftermarket amplifier settings and crossover settings and finally the enclosure itself. To determine the frequency response of the factory speakers (or more accurately, the wires going from the factory amplifier to the speaker, you can use a KEYLOC or you can use a meter and an RTA. Here are a few videos to watch. KEYLOC VIdeo: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2PCq2aejZune7c RTA Video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYW0n2usispsr8k

Can I use the kisl to tap into the rear deck speakers instead or do I have to use it for the head unit ?
@KICKER-AUDIO3 жыл бұрын
Depends on where your RCA connections are. It is intended to go from RCA to bare wire so you can connect speaker wires on the non-terminated ends.
